Lying Neocons revising history

The Threedee does not recognize any validity in the Taichileftist's talking points. The chronology of the posts demonstrates him to be an utter baffoon.

Well,,, I'm a little late to this party, but if past history holds true,,,, you're the one who's lacking in credibility.

Just a big anti-jeffersonian bully trying to make sense of falsehoods.

Judging based on your past delusions?

One Super Freaking dishonest and willfully ignorant neocon toadie here. As I said, he just ignores what doesn't fit into his SF-ing neocon delusions. But the chronology of the posts will ALWAYS be his undoing!

Listen MORON.... my conversation on the topic of Frank was with Bfgrn. YOU were the one who inserted yourself into the conversation. Therefore it is YOUR responsibility to understand what has been written by the parties prior to your jumping into the conversation. Obviously on a message board, we are all free to jump into conversations, but it is OUR individual responsibility to know what has been stated by others PRIOR to accusing them. So no matter how many times you shout the idiotic 'chronology of posts' crap.... the FACT remains that you were 100% wrong.

Every single person reading this thread can see you for the idiot that you are.

Pray, what is wrong with being anti-jeffersonian? I personally hate that motherfucker, and am a proud Federalist. :cof1:

Listen MORON.... Oooh, the Super Freak-ing Clown goes all tough guy! Head for the Hills!:eek:my conversation on the topic of Frank was with Bfgrn. Umm, Earth to the Super Freak-ing Jackass? I ORIGINATED THIS PARTICULAR THREAD! So all your blather about who addresses whom is just that...blather. Bottom line: the chronology of the posts shows your response to indicate that race had virtually nothing to do with the CRA. I just pointed out that you were wrong on that point. Hell, I admitted when YOU were correct on one point and I was wrong. Pity YOU, my Super Freak-ing intellectual coward, cannot do the same.

Now stop your Super Freak-ing nonsense, grow the fuck up and just be honest for once in your Super Freak-ing Fool life. Bottom line: the neocons just can't stand the FACT that Obama succeeded where the Shrub failed, so they're trying to rewrite history...and are failing miserably! Deal with it.

Bravo is a stupid man, folks. He painstakingly combs the net's right wing/neocon websites and bloggers to find the myopic message he so craves.

Yep, all Bravo has to do is just ignore ALL the information available......too bad for our intellectually impotent bravo:

.... The explosion in subprime loans after 2000 were made by unregulated mortgage companies, and the vast majority of them were issued to higher income borrowers, not low- to moderate-income borrowers. - The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 (GLBA) dismantled Depression-era law that had prohibited bank holding companies from owning other financial companies such as investment, commercial banking, and insurance companies. GLBA ignited a wave of mergers and hampered government regulators charged with preventing conflicts of interest and risky financial behavior.

..... However, the claim that the CRA is responsible for the current crisis ignores several crucial facts: - The CRA does not cover independent mortgage companies, which issued the vast majority of the loans underlying the crisis. The act applies only to depository banks and thrifts (savings and loan associations) that are federally insured. According to University of Michigan law professor Michael Barr in testimony before the House Financial Services Committee, just 20 percent of the subprime mortgages since the late 1990s were issued by CRA-covered lenders. Thus, 80 percent subprime loans were made by lenders not regulated by the CRA. - The CRA actually created more responsible lending. San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank President Janet L. Yellen rejected the “tendency to conflate the current problems in the subprime market with CRA-motivated lending,” and noted “that the CRA has increased the volume of responsible lending to low- and moderate-income households.” - The act was passed in 1977, well before the subprime loan bonanza occurred. In fact, the Bush administration’s weakening of the CRA coincided with the subprime boom. - Banks did not engage in an orgy of reckless subprime lending to meet CRA obligations; they did so for they same reason they always do: to make money. Only this time, deregulation allowed them to get paid not just for making the loans, but for turning them into securities and trading them (see below).

........ In a 2006 Securities and Exchange Commission filing (available here) covering its activities in 2004, Fannie Mae stated: “We did not participate in large amounts of these non-traditional mortgages in 2004 and 2005.” In the report, Fannie Mae also noted the growth of subprime lending and reported, “These trends and our decision not to participate in large amounts of these non-traditional mortgages contributed to a significant loss in our share of new single-family mortgage-related securities issuances to private-label issuers during this period.” - Additionally, Lehman Brothers CEO Richard Fuld testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on October 6, 2008, that Fannie and Freddie’s failure played a minimal role in Lehman’s demise.

Bravo stupidly excerpts a case regarding the largest discrimination case won regarding housing lending...and then ignores what Cuomo initially pointed....that these loans were being given to non-minority folks of the same economic situation...(gee, I guess that excerpt of Bravo's leaves out a few details). And then there's the crucial point that intellectually dishonest and impotent folk like Bravo refuse to acknowledge: Banks mixed bad and good risks into mortgage banking securities (MBS). Then, they mixed these MBS with others loans into collaterized debt obligations (CDO) and sold those to each other on the national and international stage.

Now, that being settled, let's watch our cowardly Bravo try to deny this:

And once again, Yurt demonstrates that he neither has the brains, courage or honesty to logically and factually address the points I've made. If he keeps it up, I'll have to dump the dumb bastard back into the IA bin, as it will make scrolling through the posts much quicker.
