Well, if you knew what she looks like.... but that being said, rapists don't rape based on sexual desire. It's a violence thing, a way of expressing domination and anger. She's lucky then; one in three women, and one in sex men experience "some form of contact sexual violence in their lifetime" (https://www.nsvrc.org/statistics). And those are reported assaults; who knows what the stats would be if ppl like Toxic et al didn't shame those who report?

Yep, things like doubting the victims of priest, teacher, Boy Scout leader, etc. pedophilia because "kids make up stories for revenge" * Things like telling racist jokes, then doubling down and claiming that the racist joke was told to "A bunch of black teachers in the teachers lounge who laughed and laughed" (yeah right!)**, flinging the n-word around right and left, slander, etc. There are some doozies out there, and a lot of them sunk to the bottom here.

Maybe Ford did make up the story for revenge. Maybe he rejected her. Maybe she wanted to marry a rich lawyer.

Holy smoke. Until recently, I remember Reich Wing posters feeling aggrieved and taking great umbrage if I dared to state that their party was chock full of racists, misogynists, white nationalists, and neo-confederates.

Just reading a representative sampling of Reich Wing posts on this forum is evidence enough to prove I had been correct all along.

The one thing that has come out of Trumpism, is that Republicans no longer even try to deny they belong to a Party that harbors enormous amounts of racists, white supremacists and xenophobes.

It's progress. I like my racists where I can see them, rather than them hiding in closets or beneath white sheets.
