The articles say they are referring to Biden saying, “I got started out of an HBCU, Delaware State” at a speech he made at Wilson High School, Florence, South Carolina, on Oct. 26, 2019 ahead of the South Carolina primaries (see 28:55 minute mark in this video of the talk).

In the speech, Biden did not say that he “attended” or “went to” DSU.

Carlos Holmes, a representative for DSU told Delaware Online that it was clear Biden was referring to the support he received from the school when he announced his bid for the Senate on the DSU campus in 1972 (here).

So whats that mean


If Tom Brady stated..I got started out of an New England Patriots ...does that mean he wasn't on that team?

Cawthorn said during his campaign that the car accident that left him with limited use of his legs also ended his plan to attend the U.S. Naval Academy and join the military, but the Post reported that Cawthorn was denied entry to the military academy well before his accident.

The congressman also said at a speech at his college that he was left for dead in his car accident when his friend escaped and fled, and that he was declared dead. But that friend told the Post that he helped pull Cawthorn out of the car. An accident report reviewed by the Post also showed Cawthorn was declared "incapacitated," not dead.

It was previously revealed that Cawthorn exaggerated his work history. In an Oct. 2 interview with the Asheville Citizen Times, a USA TODAY network paper, Cawthorn said he worked full-time on the staff of ex-Rep. Mark Meadows. A campaign spokesman later said he only worked part-time, which is consistent with House spending records.

It means he announced his bid for the Senate on that campus.
