A cafe owner has closed his business just six weeks after opening in Sydney’s inner west, blaming “snowflakes” for the failure of his latest venture.
Mark Da Costa opened Bueno Eatery in St. Peter’s in March after closing down his Waterloo cafe, Hale and Hearty, in 2020 after being involved in a series of internet controversies, in which he called a community member a homophobic slur.
He also declared his cafe a “Donald Trump safe zone,” which served pancakes with a “side of racism.”
At the time, Da Costa blamed the “left-wing fake vegan community” for the closure, telling those who criticized his attitude to “go f–k yourself.”
