Purchasing some aircraft is legal, and others is illegal. This airplane is legal to buy, but extremely expensive to buy and operate. It is well beyond trump's reasonable price range.
It spent 6 years unflyable, and has since been on and off flyable. Even when it is flyable, it is extremely expensive to fly.
Planes age like cars. This is a 34 year old plane, trump is the fourth owner of the plane. It is a type of plane that went out of production because it is too expensive to fly, for too little capacity.
Planes have a lifespan of 30 to 40 years. No one is going to take a plane out of service after a few years.
