Exactly what I thought as well. I guess he doesn't know that gentlemen don't wear casual caps to solemn, formal events because stylish men's hats are available. Also gentlemen remove their hats in such events.

I was in back in the 70's and they issued them with your uniforms back then.
And they are service members. Trump is not.
