Magical thinking…

Nah, manifesting, as it is currently used, means "believing" it into existence.

You want a new job, act as if you already have it, it will come true...

That kind of thing.
And who does this magic spell work for?
As the link below notes, while there is some "magical thinking" AKA pseudoscience involved, it also makes use of proven concepts like optimism and "self-efficacy and goal achievement".

At its core, manifesting represents an expression of beliefs like "mind over matter," or the idea that our thoughts can affect the external world, and the “law of attraction,” or the idea that our thoughts determine what we "attract," for good or for ill. While manifesting embraces some proven concepts about self-efficacy and goal achievement—for example, there is little doubt that optimism is more likely to lead to success than pessimism—some of the extreme claims put forward by advocates incorporate dubious ideas about psychology, and cite pseudoscience for which there is little or no scientific support. Individuals who latch onto manifesting as their primary approach to realizing a dream are likely to end up disappointed.

I am reminded of my ex friend Paul......who had 5 kids without an obvious way to support them. I asked him about this.....he said "Steve if I was not supposed to have them God would tell me to not do it....He has not....He will provide".

It ended up being fine.

There is an epidemic of magical thinking in this country. Reality and data are not relevant anymore.
We've long since been aware of Climate Change and Global Warming. We've long since been aware of the plethora of undereducated leftists who can't help but say the stupidest things.

Two examples….

Example #1: "The entire earth is starting to melt!"

Example #2: "I have a chart, and the line keeps going up. You're the dumbass."

The magical thinking things seems to work for Trump, he is widely known to believe saying something publically three times makes it true. I think it works on himself, he clearly is able to believe things that are clearly not true.

It works for him. The political world is one of the few places I think it works. I think it somehow helped Trump to get financing for his businesses, somehow pretending got him better terms on loans.
Your jealousy is showing again, Pretender.

If that is true, I think it's silly. If believing something will happen affects your behavior toward making it happen, then maybe.

Appearing to believe things has helped Trump to hypnotize a lot of people into following him. Why is he so successful if he is wrong?

Him saying, "they are eating the dowgs" very decisively got a lot of voters to believe it was true.

this is why you're a loser.

The actuality of creation guarantees the actuality of a creator.

It can be denied but there is a creation and it was created by a creator.
