Man tasered for sleeping on his couch at home

Then he walks over and illegally searches the vehicle without a warrant or any probable cause. Shoot, even when charging somebody with a DUI they have to actually ask to search inside the vehicle.
 
I have a question for the posters here:

Do you think tasering has increased, or has it just been reported more? We never hear about the good cops, just the cops that taser someone to death. It seems a bit sensational to just keep putting up these taser stories day after day. I want some cold hard stats on the tasering death rate! I have some beefs with the police as well, but enough is enough. I'm sick of hearing these "Taser of the Day" stories!
 
Taser training needs to be gone over and there needs to be some new boundries placed on when , where adn on who they can use theses things on.

ZuZu, if you are tired of hearing about them its time to think hard about why you are tired of it. The whole reason they were given them was decrease deadly force and not as a new torture devise.

Man Tasered during Routine Traffic Stop - Cops later joke about the tasering


When a man questions why a policeman has pulled him over and refuses to sign the ticket, the policeman electrocutes him to make him comply:

The video shows the Utah Highway Patrolman pull over Jared Massey and his pregnant wife who also had their baby with them in the car and ask for Mr Massey's license.

Mr Massey tells the officer he does not understand why he has been stopped or what he is being charged with, at which point the officer orders Massey to get out of the car. The officer then puts down his clipboard and immediately takes out his Taser and points it at Mr Massey without any provocation whatsoever, yelling "Turn around and put your hands behind your back" as Massey attempts to point out the speed limit sign and engage the officer in conversation.

A shocked Massey asks "what the hell is wrong with you?" and backs away, turning around as the officer had demanded, at which point the officer unleashes 50,000 volts from the Taser into Massey's body, sending him screaming to the ground instantly and causing his wife to jump out of the car and yell hysterically for help.

Lying face down on the ground a shell shocked, Mr Massey says "officer I don't know what you are doing, I don't know why you are doing what you are doing" to which the officer replies "I am placing you under arrest because you did not obey my instruction."

Mr Massey then once again asks the officer several times why he was stopped and what he is being charged with. He then asks for his rights to be read and points out that the officer cannot arrest him without doing this. Instead of reading Massey his rights the officer then addresses another patrolman who arrives on the scene sardonically commenting "Ohhh he took a ride with the Taser" to which the other officer answers "painful isn't it".

The icing on the cake comes at the end of the video when the officer LIES to his own colleague about the encounter, clearly stating that he verbally warned Massey he was going to tase him, as is the law, when there was no warning whatsoever.

This amazing video reveals how eroded civil and constitutional rights have now become. The officer had no legal right to make Massey sign any document he did not understand.

He is being charged with about 50,000 volts. Sorry, I couldn't help it :P
 
I never call the cops. House is too nice.

It isn't ridiculously expensive, but they'd never believe I really live here.

alas this is the mantra of the Lib's...the socialist entity in our country...yes there are bad cops as well as good cops...this also applies to every walk of life...good Doctors/bad doctors...good Cooks/bad cooks...on and on...the liberal left always posts articles that address the bad in everything...but hey always blame the conservatives for everything that is bad...equality is not their goal or intention...they just want to bash the opposing force...sad really!
 
But you know as well as I do BB that amongst cops there arise ways of doing things that aren't completely by the book (or the statute) and that there can begin the slide right there. It seems to me that some cops are going for tasers or spray too quickly these days and that's why these videos and anecdotes are appearing.

Yeah, BS! Yes, any sensible person should understand there are going to be bad cops. Cannot be avoided. But we attract them to that profession and they go unpunished.

I can only speak for where I am but the entrance requirements are stringent. We take honest, upstanding people. I'm still wondering what turns some of them into complete arseholes.
