believing in invisible men in the sky among other things is delusional and it holds humanity back. Religion is a proud trophy of ignorance. It should be discouraged and wiped out as much as possible.
 
I personally have no use for Islam. it's way too much rote practice, and way too much sword.
Other religions at least have emphasis on compassion

I don't necessarily disagree w/ the overall sentiment. Religion has been a negative for mankind overall.

But people have to make their own journey. I respect everyone's right to believe what they choose to believe. Violent extremists have often used religion as a crutch or shield, throughout history.

Nothing we do is going to change an ideology. It's people that I care about. There is a lot of bullying, vandalism & persecution that comes out of the careless rhetoric some have about an entire religion.

And focusing on the ideology ignores the larger issues. I find it to be counterproductive.
 
People confuse religion with mankind's greed for resources and land.

Going by Thingy's standard, atheism has been worse for mankind than just about anything.

I'm talking about Stalin and Hitler and Pol Pot etc. Nothing to do with religion. In fact they hated religion.
 
All humankind is to blame for our deaths.

We do not do enough to stop it. We sit ideally by and sleep tight while, I think this is the quote:

Trump called the terrorists losers, putting them in the same category as Rosie O'Donnell. Why does Trump see life through the prism of winners and losers? I wish America had a leader that could speak to the occasion and provide comfort.

CNN has officially endorsed Trump's labeling the terrorists as losers. Because speaking to people as though they are in the 3rd grade is also what the media does.

I do feel that this is important to bring up, because every tragedy is going to be met with the same level of lowbrow eloquence and thus dumb everyone down, comforting no one and providing zero leadership.
 
Haven't forgotten that the IRA bombed Manchester before now. Of course many of you thought they were freedom fighters!!

Our security services are always targetting Muslim terrorists plotting carnage and mayhem they usually succeed but sometimes they don't.

Would you put the bombings at the King David Hotel in the same category? It was attacks like this that lead to the formation of Israel.

I don't profess to be, but, I read the kooran and I see what they do. It doesn't become much more plain than that

Lastly, you and your other defenders of this vile ideology always throw out the same trope "is every muslime" doing it. As if there have to be 100% of them willing to slap vests filled with nails and blow themselves up before you do anything.

They don't want to fight [a jihad] just for the sake of it. Radical Islam is a supremacist ideology that demands submission.

So their violence has a political point; namely: Convert to Islam, submit to Islam or die. Those are the 'basics' of radical Islam.

In ideological terms, Trump assulted the radicals in front of 50 Arab leaders by imploring to 'drive them out, drive them, drive them out'.

I'm fairly convinced Manchester was their response.
