Many Liberals are one issue voters, abortion, the glass ceiling etc etc etc...all the OLD issues that have more than well remedied The haven't done this just to the capital but cities all around the country and not just the biggest cities. Liberals are victims as well as anyone else and they are screaming about it...but they will vote the same crooked crap right back in office.

Worse yet, only 80 arrests have been made in connection with 2023’s 606 carjackings so far.

Prospects are so bleak that Trayon White Sr., a Democratic city councilman who originally voted to lower the criminal penalties for a number of serious infractions — including carjacking and armed carjacking — is calling for the National Guard’s intervention in the carnage.

Imagine telling someone in June 2020, amid the gnashing of teeth that accompanied Sen. Tom Cotton’s call for the National Guard’s use then, that a little over three years later, Democrats would be pining for the same.

“I am tired of burying our children,” White told the press this week.

“We are too comfortable with the state of our city. We must take action to gain control and protect our residents.”

The violence and liberal backlash to it are hardly contained to the capital.

Oakland is on track to double the number of assaults and triple the number of carjacking cases in the city from 2019.

As opposed to being NO issue voters like conservatives, that just want to "trigger the libs" with whatever wanton criminal has the worst vocabulary, views on women, race, worst economic policy, etc etc etc.

The opinions drawn from the statistics are valid, right? Far left Democratic Socialist loons control most large and many small American cities and are soft as jello on crime and they continue to vote for the same loons over and over.

It's a death wish by Democrats.
 
I don't believe the Democrat leaders in the cities are taking any responsibility whatsoever for their failures, and therefore will not be successful in turning things around. Instead, they will cry and whine and ask the Democrat leadership in the WH and in Congress to bail them out with more and more money, all of which will go to non profits to enrich friends and family. One big money laundering operation.

Cities are dying. Shopping, restaurants, and services are leaving. Soon, they will all look like Detroit. In Chicago, there are rows of boarded up houses, houses that were once beautiful in style and architecture. Not just a few, but many. Anything built before WWII is trashed. Only the post war homes of the 50's and later are still good, but they too are being trashed by the people who formally lived in the older homes. Most go into rental, and downhill from there.

There is hope.

One Leftie group in Chicago is requesting gang bangers restrict their shooting to the hours of 9 PM and 9 AM so the rest of the city doesn't have to duck bullets so much during the day.

Not kidding.

Only about 3% are single issue voters actually.

Currently 47% are republican and 46% are democrat the other 4% of voters vote according to some other agenda or go back and forth.
