Maricopa County Officials Refusing to Turn Over Routers to Auditors

The IP number to my router is 192.168.1.1. I dare you to hack it and collect information from it.

So what do you use for DNS lookup? That is in a reserved private address range. Those are not routable on a public network, typically that address is used as a default gateway address.

192.168.0.0/16 IP addresses:
192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255

You must be able to route to a DNS server to access the internet. Do you use standard DNS addresses provided by your ISP or have you changed to a more secure DNS server like Cloudflare, OpenNIC or OpenDNS (208.67. 220.220 and 208.67. 222.222)?

Looks like you called somebody's bluff ... good job

I find it hard to believe that anything found on a router is going to reveal the social security number of Maricopa residents or put law enforcement lives at risk as claimed in the OP article......

Me too. A router is pretty much a modem. How much cache do they have?

There's no big bunch of memory or hard storage in there.

Make they auditors analyze the routers in the presence of law enforcement and their computer experts to make sure they only use the portions that concern the election.

That sounds like a great idea. (NOT)
It means they can't download or use a computer to search the logs which would require the read through the logs line by line. That would only take a couple of people about 10 years to do with a law enforcement official over their shoulder being paid by the auditing company. You better start donating to CyberNinjas now because they are going to need a lot of money.

Any organisation that doesn't change passwords on a regular basis hardly deserves to stay in business.

Sure. And how do you make sure that everyone with a mobile device that can connect to your wifi has deleted all the old wifi passwords on all their devices? A device that automatically connects will automatically connect to any signal with the old SSID and password if it is available. It is extremely easy to set up a man in the middle attack if you know the SSID and password they are trying to automatically connect to.

Naww it can easily be done with computers without permanently retaining the unneeded data.

LOL, keep your day job. A router is NOTHING like a modem. A modem connects your intranet to the internet. Your router assigns IP addresses on your network. It contains a ton of information. There is a 'bunch of memory' on a router, and it stores browsing histories, passwords, tons of information about devices that accessed it. Good grief.

Could it be done? Yes, but it would require some major security. Any computers used would not be able to be attached to any network. No one would be allowed to use any removable data device. No phones or cameras would be allowed. It must occur in a secure room. Nothing with data can leave the room. All computers used must be securely wiped after the audit is done. A forensic audit doesn't occur in a few hours. It will take days or weeks.

Cyberninjas is going to need a lot of money to follow the security you say would be needed. You better start donating.

Okay, so what amount of memory does a router have?

Hey, have you heard of that flash memory stuff, Sheriff Woody?

They generally have between 128 MB and 1 Gig of memory. In other words more than enough to hold all of that information and more.

Ooo.. up to a gigabyte, wow. That's not much memory. 128 MB is Socket 5 PC level.

Enough to hold about 1 website front page. And not a fancy one.

Do tell me moar about this "flash memory" and wow me with your knowledge, fucker.

if the election was legitimate, why is the Media-Dem Party fighting against an audit so hard? They are hiding the evidence of election fraud.

that is why

How about some jail time for refusing to comply with a subpoena

I agree; if this election was so above board and perfectly run, why hide anything? Why not allow audits and inspections of the equipment and ballots? What are the Democrats and RINO's so afraid of and trying to hide?

After all, it was a........MIRACLE!

They're refusing to turn them over because the demand was too broad.

"The routers the Senate subpoena commanded the county produce support all of these departments, not just elections operations. This includes critical law enforcement data that, by law, cannot be disclosed, as well as Maricopa County residents’ protected health information and full social security numbers."

OMFG, just stop. A router isn't going to store the PAGE dumbshit. It will store the URL. A gig is 150 reams of paper. You should stop speaking about technology, unless it's an anecdote about your rotary telephone.
