Marijuana U.S.A.!!

That doesn't say anything. The federal government says that drugs are illegal. Do you support the federal government making them legal?

I realize that this is a challenging question for a copy and paste guy like you.

I tried to get a dialogue going with this school boy left winger and all I got was more copy and paste.

It's so great to know that the brunt of most of the intelligence is on the left.

That video is pretty-much the entire history of what drove marijuana Prohibition.....and, proves it should never have been made illegal, in the first-place.

If there were too-many big-words (voiced)....that confused you....I can't help that.

If you have as limited a vocabulary as Trumpy-The-Klown....you're more-than-likely too-young to get "high", anyhow.

The folks, in Ohio, surely-do know how to keep their underground-economy alive & profitable!!!!!

November 1, 2016 - "As many as 18 licenses would be available for medical marijuana growers in Ohio under proposed rules released by the state.

The draft regulations suggest two types of cultivation licenses: one for grows up to 15,000 square feet, and another for those totaling no more than 1,600 square feet. The state would award a dozen licenses for large cultivation operations and six for the smaller facilities.

Fee$ for cultivation licenses would be some of the most expensive in the country, behind only Illinois and New York, if the regulations are adopted.

Application fee$ for large grows would run $20,000, while winners would have to shell out $180,000 to secure a license.

The state would charge $2,000 to apply for a license to run a smaller grow, with licensing fee$ totaling $18,000, according to Cleveland.com."

November 2, 2016 - "The Los Angeles City Council took a big step Tuesday toward creating possibly the largest legal cannabis market in the United States, if not the world.

The council voted to develop a March ballot measure asking city voters to repeal a 2013 ordinance that both bans medical marijuana businesses and grants “limited immunity” from prosecution to 135 dispensaries, L.A. Weekly reported.

The move was proposed by Council President Herb Wesson, whose measure is called the Cannabis Enforcement, Taxation and Regulation Act. If voters give a thumbs up, the initiative would repeal Proposition D on July 31, 2018, and would hand cannabis industry regulatory authority to the council. Voters approved Proposition D three years ago.

Regulating and legitimizing the cannabis trade in L.A. could jump-start the biggest legal metro marijuana market, worldwide."

November 3, 2016 - "Sixty-three percent of Americans age 18 and older favor making the use of marijuana legal, according to national polling results compiled by the Public Religion Research Institute's American Values Survey.

This percentage is the highest ever reported by the poll, and marks a 30 percent increase in public support for marijuana legalization since 2014."

November 4, 2016 - "Privateer Holdings, a cannabis-focused private equity firm in Seattle, announced Friday it has closed on $40 million in convertible bridge financing, bringing its fundraising total to $122 million.

The news marks the first time a cannabis-related investment company has raised more than $100 million, Privateer said in a press release. The funding increase reflects growing investor interest in cannabis-related businesses.

Privateer said it will use the money to launch new ventures, make strategic acquisitions and expand its three existing portfolio companies into new markets.

The three companies are: Leafly, an online strain and dispensary guide that receives more than 10 million visitors per month; Tilray, a federally licensed Canadian medical cannabis producer that has been positioning itself as an overseas exporter of medical marijuana; and Marley Natural, a marijuana brand currently sold in stores in California and Oregon and will be available next month in Washington State.

Privateer’s previous funding rounds include a $7 million Series A raise in July 2013 and a $75 million Series B round in March 2015 that included a multimillion-dollar investment from Founders Fund, a venture capital firm.

In August, New York-based Tuatara Capital‘s announced it had raised $93 million to invest in marijuana business. Tuatara’s portfolio includes Willie’s Reserve, the cannabis brand backed country music legend Willie Nelson."

I think it's more like cannabis users are becoming seniors, than cannabis use by seniors is on the rise!

.....If you're willing to overlook....it's more-likely the Yuppies are back, into it, again (after lying to their kids, for too-long)....'cause it's The Hip/Trendy-Thing-To-Do.....again!!!

Fortunately, for the rest-of-us.....when the Yuppies jumped into disco (back, in the early '70s)....it helped to keep the bags, o' GOOD Mexican-pot (Guerran & Oaxacan), at $13, in Boulder!!!!

November 4, 2016 - "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) said Friday she plans to vote for California's Proposition 64, making her one of a small number of high-level politicians to support legalizing the recreational use of marijuana.

“I will vote for it, but I have not made a public statement about it until right this very second,” Pelosi said when asked about the measure, which is favored to pass Tuesday. She did not elaborate."

November 9, 2016 - "The cannabis industry scored a landslide victory Tuesday as four states legalized recreational marijuana and another three approved medical use, cementing the 2016 election’s place in the history books.

The developments could lead to $7 billion-$8 billion in additional annual retail cannabis sales, according to Marijuana Business Daily’s preliminary estimates."

November 9, 2016 - "More and more NFL teams play in jurisdictions where the recreational use of marijuana is now legal.

In one day, the total more than tripled, from two to seven. With California and Massachusetts joining Washington and Colorado, the 49ers, Raiders, Rams, Chargers, and Patriots join the Seahawks and Broncos as teams that play in places where marijuana can be smoked for any purpose.

And if/when the Raiders move to Nevada, that won’t change; Nevada has legalized marijuana use for recreational purposes, too.

The league previously has justified the ongoing ban because federal law still regards marijuana as a controlled substance. While that’s still the case, the federal government has taken no steps to shut down marijuana use in the states where it is legal.

As marijuana use becomes accepted on a widespread basis, the league’s refusal to allow players to use it for any reason becomes more glaring — especially since NFL players spend multiple months of the year completely away from the workplace."

"Californias recreational cannabis industry could eventually generate between $4.5 billion and $5 billion in annual retail sales, making it by far the most attractive market for business opportunities of the states that legalized last week, according to estimates released Wednesday.

Marijuana Business Daily’s editorial director, Chris Walsh, revealed the projection during his speech at the Marijuana Business Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.

“It’s clear – California is going to reclaim its mantle as the capital (of the cannabis trade),” Walsh said during his keynote address at the conference Wednesday morning.

He also offered up estimates for the other seven states that passed cannabis measures on Election Day.

Marijuana Business Daily previously announced that all new markets the election paved the way for could post a combined $7 billion-$8 billion in retail sales down the road, but the publication hadn’t released a breakdown until today.

The California estimates offer a look at just how big the state’s marijuana industry could become once the market hits its stride. If the estimates hold true, California’s recreational marijuana shops would bring in more than the entire industry is expected to generate in retail sales this year."

"Denver voters have passed an initiative to allow cannabis consumption in public businesses such as bars and restaurants, overcoming initial predictions the measure faced an uphill battle.

As of 2 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Initiative 300 had received 53.31% of the approximately 302,000 votes that had been counted. The official election results won’t be certified until Nov. 22.

Denver Relief Consulting, the lead proponent of the initiative, declared victory, adding that it was a win for Denver adults who can “now gather socially and use products of their choice.”
