Socks don't bother me; it's using Google to pretend you know what you're talking about is obvious and gets old.The call "SOCK!" is made by the desperate who need to buy time because they are losing ... again. All who read his abandonment of the topic at hand to call you a sock are totally aware that you got him up against the ropes and knocked him down for the count. He's just desperate to change to subject. Your avatar has nothing to do with the topic of discussion.
Marx was a preacher. He was no more a philosopher than Al Gore.Adam Smith (Capitalism) and Karl Marx (Communism) were both philosophers.
Well, I share your sentiments, especially with Wikipedia.Socks don't bother me; it's using Google to pretend you know what you're talking about is obvious and gets old.
This is stupid. Workers have all the power. They can always leave at any time, on a whim, and they are under no obligation to accept any employment in the first place. The CEO is a dictator. Workers have no rights for 1/3 or 1/2 of their day. If the CEO decides to relocate to China, there's nothing the community or workers can do about it.

How are economics principles in conflict with democracy?Capitalism is in direct conflict with democracy. It's not loyal to community or its workers.
How is socialism somehow different today?Socialism has evolved since 1867.
How is socialism somehow different today?
All the tech companies are laying off. The workers have a $3200 mortgage, El Pollo Loco pays about $1600 a month. When a small-town factory moves to China, the entire town gets boarded up. They have nowhere to go. When Reagan fired 11000 striking air traffic controllers, most of them ended up as bartenders, some never recovered. This is stupid. Workers have all the power. They can always leave at any time, on a whim, and they are under no obligation to accept any employment in the first place.
'Capitalists' don't allow for free markets or a free society. I guess you already forgot about the lockdowns and vaccines. How are economics principles in conflict with democracy?
Free markets and a free society go hand-in-hand.
Marx was a preacher. He was no more a philosopher than Al Gore.
Because today it isn't just socialism, but "democratic socialism".... Oh wait, that's outdated now too... it's now "democratic capitalism"How is socialism somehow different today?
No.Let's analyze this. Perhaps we can get gfm7175 to arbitrate; gfm7175 is my go-to authority on Jesus:
@gfm7175 ... did Jesus:
... abolish property in land, and call for all rents of land to public purposes?
No.... issue a commandment for a heavy progressive or graduated income tax?
No.... abolish all right of inheritance?
No.... confiscate the property of all emigrants and rebels?
No.... centralize credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly?
No.... centralize the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State?
No.... extend factories and instruments of production owned by the State, bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan?
No.... impose equal liability of all to labor while establishing industrial armies, especially for agriculture?
No.... combine agriculture with manufacturing industries while gradually abolitishing the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of the population over the country?
No.... provide free education for all children in public schools while abolishing children's factory labour in its present form? Did he combine education with industrial production?
You now have your answer. Jesus was not a socialist. In fact, 'thou shalt not steal' is one of the Ten Commandments.I am eager to find out more about Jesus' socialism.
No he wasn't.Jesus was a socialist
He cleansed the temple because they were defiling God's house; that event has nothing to do with socialism.who cleansed the Temple by expelling the merchants and money changers.
No capitalists would give the Sermon on the Mount. No he wasn't.

Totally stupid. I don't need to read any further.
The word "capitalism" is just Marx's slur for sound economic principles. Marx was a lazy bastard who was non-competitive in a world of competition, and he pouted and cried "That's NOT FAIR!"
So, in his mind, he anthropomorphized economics and made it the evil archvillain of his sad little world. Instead of treating it as the supply-demand curve model that it is, Marx was forever portraying economics in the same way Christians portray Satan, complete with magical superpowers and the incessant desire to destroy humanity. Those who are stupid enough to fall for it really have no one else to blame. Don't be gullible.
Economics does not have any stages. Economics models are tools to facilitate the building of economies that create wealth, that add value to society and that improve the lives of everyone participating in the economy.
No capitalists would give the Sermon on the Mount.
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
