Mass shootings show why we must stop pandering to white male fragility

Guno צְבִי

We fight, We win, Am Yisrael Chai
For years, Yiannopoulos and others like him, spurned by the mainstream, polished their personal brands in the trenches of the online culture wars, whipping up hate-mobs against female games journalists before expanding their franchise to stage-managed attacks on trans women, women of colour and “social justice warriors”, which is an odd thing to call your enemy, unless social justice itself makes you uncomfortable. This was the demographic courted by Steve Bannon, Trump’s former right-hand manchild and svengali of Breitbart news. Bannon was not the first to recognise the power of wounded male pride and sexual entitlement as recruiting tools. It’s the theme that connects the “incel” movement with Islamic State, the refrain that runs from 1930s Berlin to Washington in 2018.

The anti-gun male

LET'S be honest. He's scared of the thing. That's understandable--so am I. But as a girl I have the luxury of being able to admit it. I don't have to masquerade squeamishness as grand principle-in the interest of mankind, no less.

A man does. He has to say things like "One Taniqua Hall is one too many," as a New York radio talk show host did in referring to the 9-year old New York girl who was accidentally shot last year by her 12-year old cousin playing with his uncle's gun. But the truth is he desperately needs Taniqua Hall, just like he needs as many Columbines and Santees as can be mustered, until they spell an end to the Second Amendment. And not for the benefit of the masses, but for the benefit of his self-esteem.

He often accuses men with guns of "compensating for something." The truth is quite the reverse. After all, how is he supposed to feel knowing there are men out there who aren't intimidated by the big bad inanimate villain? How is he to feel in the face of adolescent boys who have used the family gun effectively in defending the family from an armed intruder? So if he can't touch a gun, he doesn't want other men to be able to either. And to achieve his ends, he'll use the only weapon he knows how to manipulate: the law.

What about that messed up guy who shot up the Garlic Festival in Gilroy California?

Full of hatred.

We need a President who does not spread hatred.

We need a leader who espouses how WRONG hatred is.

maybe you should stop electing democrats then. the other side should refrain from electing republicans. they both play the masses against each other with hate and fear.

Trump is rather devoid of Humanity, so I don't see that happen anytime soon.

The NRA's true goal is not really gun owner's rights, but creating markets for gun manufacturers. They do this by pushing lax gun laws, which creates gun violence, to justify the need for people to buy guns.

The usual paranoia about the NRA. Stricter gun laws lead to more gun violence, unless there wasn't a problem with guns in the first place. We've been relaxing gun laws for a while now and both our homicide and violent crime rates have been dropping. We had minimal problems with guns before we had much in the way of gun laws. Adding more didn't do anything to make things better. It's time to revise our drug laws and legalize marijuana to remove the market that supports our violent criminal gangs.

You're a complete idiot. You know nothing of the NRA.

Did you get these sanitized Statistics from the NRA.

So, in your so called distinguished opinion, it's only Trump spreading hatred?
Maybe you should start by reading your own posts of hatred for the president before you accuse him of spreading hatred.
Ever since he was elected, you leftists have been spreading more hatred than anyone. Own your own hypocrisy.

It sounds like this is just using toxic masculinity to shame men who want common sense gun control.

There's a big difference between the president and a few trolls online. Trump has shown that he can't be trusted to serve in a position of influence.

And before you bring up Maxine Waters, she's not president, and other top Democrats have condemned her calls for violence.

Mr. Pinhead, if you keep posting these meaningless lines, it must be that you've got nothing to say of significance.

So, what do you know about the NRA? Are you a member? Are you an instructor?
You basically say the NRA is in it to sell guns. You are incorrect. We are not.
Yes, we support our 2nd. Amendment right to keep and bear arms, but that ain't all.
What larger private organization trains both law enforcement and civilians in the safe
and proper handling of a firearm? What other organization (aside from local gun clubs)
is more strict concerning safety and even has courses for youngsters?

What has he done (other than babbling too much) that he can't be trusted? Trusted of what?

LOL! Mad Maxine is a nut case. Condemn violence? Look at your "signature..."

Then, why do so many criminals have guns??? And why do we have so much gun violence. What about arming teachers, and not to mention that you can buy body armor on EBAY. I can go on and on.
