My 1st Obligation will always be to do the right. You go your way, I'll go mine. My first obligation will always be to my own.
That's a hymn.
Like I said, we are not the same.

Except what I described happens here at least several times a year. You barely hear anything about self-defense cases. Something like Penny's in Phoenix would be minor news after the break for commercials on TV, or barely a story buried in the newspaper sites like AZCentral. One or another columnist might whine about it to nobody caring.I really don't think you're thought this line of reasoning through. News outlets (local, regional, national, and international) are eager to accept leads from the public, particularly if there's video evidence of an event that is guaranteed to boost revenues if the story is published online, in print, or on the air.
Then there are numerous activist organizations whose very existence depends on airing grievances. Do you think BLM, the ADL, the ACLU, the NAACP and a host of others would pass up a video of you killing a protected class of person because it happened in a Red state?
They can try, but they get little traction here. You won't see the sort of large radical Leftist protests even on university campuses here. Instead, they are miniscule and largely ignored.I really don't think you're thought this line of reasoning through. Meh, i roll with what comes along.Like I said, you go your way, I'll go mine. My first obligation will always be to my own. That's not gonna change. I have responsibilities. I won't risk endangering the future of my own for strangers.

That's nice, Comrade.I see over and over on X scenes of people being abused on the streets with lots of people around who dont do anything other than maybe film. I also remember seeing on YouTube a young French woman (hot) living in Moscow saying that in France she feels like she is walking the streets alone and in danger, but that what happens in France does not happen in Russia, she feels totally safe because she is sure that if there was any problem with her security strangers would come to her aid.

Anti-Truth.That's nice, Comrade.
See my above post.Where's this oasis from the world known as "here", where supposedly nobody finds out about alleged "racial killings"?
I'm pretty sure people in Red China know about the George Floyd case.
The killing of Matthew Shepard happened in the middle of nowhere. The left still beats that drum.

Here's some examples of what I mean:
Bond lowered for alleged assailant in attack on ASU classmate
The alleged attack happened Sept. 19 in an ASU West classroom.www.azcentral.com
Phoenix homeowner fatally shoots man breaking into home, police say
A man who broke into a home near 17th Avenue and Coolidge Street in Phoenix was shot and killed by the homeowner, Phoenix police say.www.azcentral.com
Just 5 sentences devoted to a homeowner shooting and killing an intruder, with the story buried in the news.
Police: South Phoenix homeowner fatally shoots intruder
On Sunday, a south Phoenix homeowner shot and killed a trespasser following a confrontation.www.azcentral.com
Another one where it was one and done in the news.
Here's one about a similar incident to Penny's on the Phoenix light rail system.
Phoenix man arrested in connection with assault on light rail train
Phoenix police find and arrest 25-year-old Jacob Jasmer, who they believe assaulted a light rail passenger with a hammer on Oct. 14.www.azcentral.com
This one is a shooting on the light rail system.
Man arrested after light rail shooting in downtown Phoenix
A 25-year-old man has been arrested following a shooting on a light rail train in downtown Phoenix that left one injured.www.azcentral.com
It just doesn't stoke outrage here because self-defense and carrying a weapon are pretty much allowed anywhere and everywhere.
An armed society is a polite society.
Some of those involve various racial groups. One I looked at was a white man breaking into a Navajo home. Same thing. White dude got shot nothing more to it.I'm not sure you understood the factors that make a story take off.
The racial angle is the main one.

The story above about the shooting on the light rail involved a white and a person of Middle Eastern ethnicity. No big deal here. Hispanic? Same as White here. Blacks aren't nearly as numerous so that issue is far less of one here.
You are probably unaware this one even happened. White, elderly, man shoots illegal immigrant on his ranch. Happened in the most Progressive part of Arizona. They failed to get a conviction.
Jurors to decide fate of Nogales rancher accused of killing migrant on his land
Illegal immigration continues to be a flashpoint in national politics, and the trial of George Alan Kelly has gained national attention.www.azcentral.com
Prosecutors couldn't even get witnesses to testify against him.
The case is forgotten now
And, when it ended, the guy went back into obscurity. The MSM dropped the story when it became clear he was going to walk and not be convicted.Your own link says that the case gained national attention.

Pretty much. No, once the criminal case ended, that ended everything. So I read.
You think that's a realistic expectation in every case, as long as it's in Arizona?
Fine.
I wouldn't count on it, personally.
Did Mr. Kelly find himself in any civil actions later?
