As the judge said to the administration lawyers, no one with an understanding of the law could possibly think that the 14th amendment means anything other than what it says. Everyone born in the US that is subject to US laws is a citizen.

The Supreme Court has NO AUTHORITY to change the Constitution.Original intent is laid out quite well in US v Wong Kim Ark which was decided in the 1898. It references all the legislative arguments and how the intent was to give citizenship to everyone born in the US whose parents were subject to US laws and only exclude Indians who were subject to tribes, foreign ambassadors and foreign troops.
