Michael Phelps

Well on the SATC episode Meg is talking about, it sure appeared to have a big effect on Samantha.

only thing i noticed of my partner without being to descriptive is a little more swollen in a certain area. So in that physical regard that helps i suppose.

My wife likes when I do it also.
My guess is she ask's me more when I have a big smile on my face.

At least I recognize that I have nothing of value to add. I wish you would do the same sometimes. But, as they say, empty barrels make the most noise.

LMAO... I am an expert level skier, numerous friends on the ski patrol who will all attest to the stupidity of using pot (or drinking for that matter) while skiing or boarding. I also ride some of the toughest climbs in the Rockies on a regular basis. So when it comes to how pot would effect performance in such events, I have a pretty good background. Pot does not enhance athletic performance.

LOL I can't believe I am going to divulge this, but I noticed that with me. The problem with it is I felt somewhat desensitized.

I'm with SF on this one.
I used to hear the same shit from drunks when I bartended.
"I drive better drunk"
Yup, never seen any sober people driving down the road on the wrong side of a one way devided street or entering an elevated freeway from and exit ramp.

The only think I have ever taken Xanax for is long plane rides. That stuff goes through your liver, I wouldn't use it too much. Viagra I don't know about.

Everything you ingest goes through your liver; that's its function. Some things are more harmful than others, though, depending on which enzymes they use and how much. Ibuprofen, for example, is quite hard on the liver and should be taken in moderation at best.

yeah, heard that line before too... "I am more careful and don't speed when I am drunk, blah blah blah".... never mind that they are up on the sidewalk... at least they aren't speeding. :)

I think it's only included as there are some sports where it could be used as a relaxant. That's how they try to justify it anyway.

What that has to do with swimming is beyond me.

It has nothing to do with swimming. It has to do with breaking the law. Wtih a few exceptions pot is not legal in the US.

I know. It's not legal here either but there is no reason why it should be on an Olympic (or WADA or whatever) list of prohibited substances along with performance enhancing drugs seeing as it doesn't enhance performance outside of 'sports' such as shooting.

But in the good ole puritanical US of A that's not the point. He broke the law. He smoked pot. A big huge crack is now going to open across the face of the planet and swallow us all up because Michael Phelps did a bong hit.

Well yeah, but it was only swimming.

Does anyone watch swimming?

I'm sorry i'm from England so you're going to have to explain this concept of, how do you say? "Winning"?

Perfectly understandable. The concept is very simple actually.

You know how around 1900 you began your now-epic decline as a world power, culminating in your near defeat in the Second World War and the dismantling of your worldwide Empire, which in turn left you a vaunted power bereft of even the smallest shred of moral or political credibility?

Much like that, but the opposite.
