Not that I particularly care one way or the other, but this is the Left in action. It isn't enough to gain power, but once in power they will punish everyone that didn't help get them there. It's really a fool's errand and any normal political group would have just let it go since it accomplished nothing. But not the Left.

The Michigan attorney general has announced felony charges against 16 Republicans for falsely portraying themselves as electors in an effort to overturn Donald Trump’s 2020 defeat there.
Each of the defendants was charged with eight felony counts including forgery and conspiracy to commit forgery after they signed documents falsely attesting that they were Michigan’s “duly elected and qualified electors” for president and vice president.
Documents released Tuesday by the attorney general’s office described a scheme in which the Trump electors convened at the Republican Party state headquarters on Dec. 14, 2020, after being turned away from the State Capitol. The real electors who were certified by the Board of State Canvassers did meet at the Capitol as required by law. Yet the Republican group falsely claimed they were the rightful electors and had met at the Capitol.

In fact, they met in a basement. They confiscated all cell phones. They knew what they were doing was illegal. unethical and anti-American. They created false documents saying they were the chosen electors. They forged some documents they had. Trump lost Michigan by 153,000. The court was not going to decide he won. This was criminal, unAmerican and a part of implementing Trump's Big Lie. They were ready to serve as electors that they were not. They forged official certificates.
The Trumpian party, that has replaced the Repub party is a criminal enterprise.
