I guest the Bush administration should have given tax breaks to businesses that kept jobs in this country, rather than outsourcing them?! Also, NAFTA did not create any jobs here either, but cost the lost of many US jobs! The standard of living, for most in this country has gone down over the past decade and more than likely will continue for the foreseeable future too! One thing to remember, tax cuts for the rich and large corporations, don't stickle down to you or create jobs for you either!

However that being said if we didn't go with the world with globalization happening all around us would go down ever faster? Think of countries that have embargos or are isolationists. Globalization will not drag us down. The US is not going to experience any sort of absolute decline; the only way an absolute decline is possible is if we raise trade barriers.
