It is all caused by the heat ray the Venusians are using on the Earth that is causing global warming.

Whatever. Not every issue can be attributed to Global Climate Change. It gets stupid whenever everybody attempts to do so. This particular phenomenon needs to be studied, but attempting to associate every problem the world faces on Global Warming or even human interaction is simply delusion.

At least let them work on a theory as to why it is happening before attempting to associate it to "warming".

Is this really worldwide? Or is it just being reported from UK and US?

As far as I understand it, it is a worldwide phenomenon.

I think the most likely culprit will be a mutating virus. But that is just an opinion.
