This guy is the first politician that has invoked true hatred in me. Newt is laughable, but Romney is just an evil rich fucker who destroys people and their livelyhoods and then acts like he's on a mission from his wacky god.

You have to give Mitt credit, Tinfoil. At least he was honest about it. However, I'm surprised that you're surprised. Whether it was Bush and his buddies trying to dismantle SS or the current opposition to ObamaCare the Republicans don't give a damn about anyone but themselves. And don't let Newt fool you. He's not talking about poor kids cleaning toilets because he cares about children.

There may be a lot of people better than Obama for President but the problem is only those who are worse are competing for the job.

M'eh. If "cling to religion" is survivable then this is. He basically said that there is a safety net that he is willing to tweak and ensure it continues to help and that he is more concerned with ensuring some of the middle class won't need it. It doesn't help, but it is better to come up now than later.
 
I don't agree with your assessment of Romney at all. He may be out of touch, but that doesn't make him evil.

Gingrich, on the other hand, is a no-good lying sack of shit. I would easily vote for Obama over that worthless fuck.

obama got away with his comment because that is what most liberals believe. mitt's comment, when taken out of context (like all the media is doing), sounds elitest. despite the fact that mitt has earlier statements saying he is concerned about the poor, this will be played up and it will be used to drive a wedge between america and the rich older white guy.

In context or out of context politically speacking, it was a dumb thing to say and it will come back to hurt him.

It's a problem I have with patricians like Romney. He's a bright successful and capable man. Much more so then Bush was. He's also a blue blooded patrician born into privelage. Again, like Bush was. Where he differs dramatially from Bush is that he doesn't have a fraction of Bush's political acumen when it comes to relating to middle and working class voters. Bush was a man they felt comfortable having a beer with. I seriosly doubt Romney has ever drank beer from a can let alone with a working man.

I'm just not sold that Romney really comprehends the struggles of working and middle class people. I also fear that as with many businessmen and patricians who enter politics , as a conservative, that their policies will be based primarily on "What is good for "us" is what is good for you.". I have learned from the school of hard knocks that these politicians do not have my best interest at heart.

If you're still poor after all these years of being self-employed, perhaps it's time to give up on the self-employed thing, or come up with an idea that works better. As it stands, you have nothing to complain about. You could get a job, but you choose not to. How is that Romney's fault?

No matter what you say, Mitt is a crumb of the very uppermost crust. His will be an administration for the benefit of the ultra-wealthy.

This is what I am talking about with you.
The words I used conveyed my meaning. That you don't understand is your issue.
I will give you a little help; my statement was all encompassing. "no matter what you say". No need for specifics, nothing you say can refute the fact that Romney will be representing the top 1% of the top 1% first, the rest of us second.

When my customers are able to escape debts owed to me by way of bankruptcy, I'd say it's not my fault. I played by the rules and they didn't, yet I still lost. Fuck you, ignorant dumbass

I know a lot of contractors who've been fucked that way. When I was a contractor I ran credit reports on all my customers. I gave 30 day terms and If I didn't get paid or I got short paid I wouldn't do business with them till I got paid. I did quite a bit of business on plant closings and I always made them pay up front or put the money in escroll until the job was done to make sure I got paid.

I also found out the hard way that you should run credit reports even with customers in good standing cause their credit rating can change drastically in a short period of time not to mention bankruptcy where you always get screwed. Any customer who dropped below a certain credit rating and/or filed bankruptcy I would make them pay cash. You're setting yourself up if you extend them credit. You lose some business by applying 30 day terms or demanding cash payments from high risk customers but it's the only way you can protect your self.

Like I said, if self-employment isn't working out, go find a job somewhere else. Stop complaining about being poor and do something about it. That is all I am saying.
