My mother forced us to watch "The Waltons" with her. She grew up a poor farm girl during the depression and could relate to it. My father called them "The Harvard Hillbillies". When we were in highschool my mothers one night a week off was Thursday night and she'd make us come in early to watch The Waltons. She fill up a big turkey roaster with buttered popcorn and all us kids would get a bottle of pop and we'd watch the show with her like good little kids.
I grew to hate that show.

I never watched the Waltons. LHOTP, once in awhile. I liked watching Nellie Oleson get her comeuppance on some of the shows. Last year I read both Melissa's and Allison's memoirs and there was definitely stuff going on behind the scenes that wasn't pure and wholesome!
We had popcorn while we watched Bonanza! Oh, memories!
