More on the indoctrination of children

So prove me wrong.....I'll admit it....can you ever admit to being wrong ?

I've never seen it before if its happened....and if these hymn-like songs were sung in public schools to other presidents in the past, it was wrong....[/

The onus is on you to prove it has never been done before Obama.

I can remember my children singing about Presidents in their assemblies.

I do not have the proof, I just know it is done.

Sorry sonny, the onus isn't on me.....
It can be safely assumed that if a certain event had occurred, evidence of it could be discovered.
In such circumstances it is perfectly reasonable to take the absence of proof of its occurrence as positive proof of its non-occurrence.

What teachers tried to do to these children minds, as young as kindergarten age, is despicable....

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of two parents, Scott and Sharon Lane, and their five children, including their son, C.C., who is a Buddhist of Thai heritage.

According to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, C.C enrolled in Negreet High School, which serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, earlier this year as a sixth-grader and quickly became the target of harassment by school staff. His science teacher, Rita Roark, repeatedly taught students that the Earth was created by God 6,000 years ago, that evolution is "impossible," and that the Bible is "100 percent true."

Roark also regularly features religious questions on her tests such as "ISN'T IT AMAZING WHAT THE _____________ HAS MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" When C.C. did not write in Roark's expected answer, "LORD," she belittled him in front of the rest of the class. While studying other religions, Roark has told students that Buddhism is "stupid."

When Plaintiffs objected, Sabine Parish Superintendent, Sara Ebarb, told them that "this is the Bible belt." She suggested that C.C. should "change" his faith or transfer to another district school 25 miles away where, in her words, "there are more Asians." Ultimately, C.L.'s parents did transfer him to another school to protect him, but school officials at that school also unconstitutionally promote religion.

Beyond Roark's classroom, the school also regularly incorporates official Christian prayer into class and school events. School officials display religious iconography through hallways and classrooms, including a large portrait of Jesus Christ, and an electronic marquee in front of the school scrolls Bible verses as students enter the building.

Since this was a public school, then they should have complained and if there complaints are or were ignored; then they're justified in filing a law suit.
If it was a private school, then they should have checked into the criteria of the school, before enrolling him.

Right, because being taught to praise an elected official is much worse than being taught unscientific ideas in a science class.

Actually it is equally bad.

Why not fight them teaching kids to praise Obama by teaching Spanish in the English class and using the math class to teach kids to count on their fingers.

The "praise Obama" crap is ridiculous. But teaching science like the teacher in the OP is not only not teaching science, it is harming the children's education in the future.
And you do not think it harms our future, and their education, to have kids taught to literally praise politicians?

Is this really a public school?

At Catholic school we were taught a song about John F Kennedy! Can you imagine!

I was never taught to sing praises to living politicians, the whole idea of it is abhorrent, as abhorrent as teachers telling other students that we are stupid for being Buddhist. Even in the super-church I grew up in we were taught to pray FOR the idiot politicians, not praise living human beings as if they were the Lord Himself.

Catholic school has some excuse being private and specific to a religion (though singing praises to humans isn't really part of that religion either). It isn't okay to propagandize children into any political ideology or teach them to sing praises to the President as if he was Great Leader Kim Jong Un.

You need to stop taking your bong to school, during a presentation.
It affects your perception of actual events.

The song is part of a program highlighting Black History month, and the school says they are not requiring all students to memorize it.

Kelly Durham, the district’s assistant superintendent for communications, told The Blaze the song is “an instructional activity to honor Black History Month.”

The Blaze adds:

Durham said each grade level was assigned a different historical figure to profile, and the kindergarteners got Obama — an appropriate figure because “he’s the president of the United States.” Durham said she knew one other grade level had been assigned Rosa Parks, but did not know who the remaining grades received.

She disputed the characterization that it was a “requirement” for kindergarteners to learn the song, saying all students were given permission slips for their parents to sign before they were allowed to take part.

This doesn't sound the same does it?

I've spoken of this before; but it happened about 11 or 12 years ago.
One of my Grandchildren was telling me how one of his teachers said that during a Presidential motorcade, in Dallas, for then President Bush; that the roads were blocked and that an ambulance was stopped and wasn't allowed to continue on to the hospital. Supposedly the person they were transporting died, because of this.

I went to the school and complained.
When the teacher was confronted with this; she said that she hadn't heard it, but that her husband had told her about it and that he had heard it on the radio.
She said that she was using this as an example of compassion.
I then asked her if she was Republican or Democrat and she said Democrat.

I asked my Grandson to leave the office and asked the teacher why she didn't use the example of Clinton and his intern instead.
She looked shocked and said that would be improper and I told her that so was hers; especially since her example was false.
The Principal then began defending the teacher and saying that he didn't believe she meant to do anything wrong.
I looked him right in the eye and told him that using any political "example" was not acceptable, in teaching children; especially when it wasn't a class on Government and the information was biased.

I didn't hear of any more similar "examples" being used, since then and I've had many Grandchildren go to the same school and still have some there.

Here's some more brain washing of our youth:

Aren't they cute!! We can rest knowing that they aren't being taught about God or that evil Jesus dude! ;)

Here's some cute brain washed indoctrinated children;

Aren't they cute!! We can rest knowing that they aren't being taught about God or that evil Jesus dude! ;)

Here's a teacher indoctrinating her lil chillens.

We can rest knowing that they aren't being taught about God or that evil Jesus dude! ;)

IN ENGLISH

In a clip from the Swedish public broadcasting company SVTs TV documentary, "From Bill to Barack", about the presidential election 2008, the viewer gets to meet Diantha Harris. A black junior high teacher, in Asheville, North Carolina.

While plugging Obama and his policies to her class of 5th graders, she comes across, singles out and browbeats Cathy, a white 9 year old McCain supporter. Cathy is told her dad (who is in the military) will have to stay in Iraq for a 100 years, if McCain is elected president!(?)

The poor girl is obviously distressed over the teacher's line of questiong and belittling her choice of candidate in front of her school mates.

Why isn't this clipp and child on Good Morning America, David Letterman, Larry King, etc?

You know that if a conservative-minded white teacher - had done this to a black student, the poor abused child would be on every television talk show!

Can you imagine the furor if teachers were doing this with the Evil Goerge Bush?

But at least we can rest knowing that they aren't being taught about God or that evil Jesus dude! ;)

How about these lil darlins?

Yep, the brain washing is almost complete with these.

But at least we can rest knowing that they aren't being taught about God or that evil Jesus dude! ;)

This one should give chills to anyone watching:

BUT, at least we can rest knowing that they aren't being taught about God or that evil Jesus dude! ;)

Th Pledge is not religious and its favors neither political party, does it ?....Actually, from your perspective, maybe it does....

And most important, its not mandatory and has nothing to do with grades, so I fail to see its equivalency to the topic....

Personally, I don't think it should be mentioned except in classes like Civics, History, Government studies, etc...I guess that would be called 'Social Studies' ....

the preferred name liberals use today....

If you find it a problem, you probably don't like the Anthem sung at athletic events and the like either....

I've always wondered why the anthem is sung at those events and no, I don't like it.
