More on the racist prohibitionist

You appear to be backpedaling now: first you insisted it was a "policy"; now you're claiming simple ignorance. *shrug*

So the Republican Party wants to attract black voters?

I would suggest whatever policies they have (and i'm struggling to think of any actual policies other than to shout socialist or fascist at the other lot quite loudly) are, through stupidity or intent, successfully driving away those black ladies and gents.

As a conservative I have been suggesting to the GOP that they stick with the policies that they had in the beginning: free markets, limited government, and personal responsibility, then work to educate the public of their true history as well as the negative impacts of Democrat policies. Of interest to contemporary blacks is the issue of school choice which reflects these policies perfectly.

Perhaps what you fail to understand is that the Democrat Party has used the public school system to teach a distorted view of history. Liberals on this site spout out this view consistently. You appear to have taken your own views from this corrupt system.

Having somehow managed to avoid being educated by the American public school system i don't know why i would take my views from it. Personally, i can't abide either of your terrible political parties.

I simply look at the Republican Party and can't help noticing that there aren't a lot of black people in it, or voting for it. That's a problem for you and them. If you have some solutions to persuading black people that the republican Party is their home from home that's fine and dandy.

The question i would ask is, looking at half the shit which apparent "Republicans" spout on this site, for instance, why would any black chap or chapess want to bother with you at all?

Yes, i know.

Everytime this stuff comes up i find myself crying a river of tears as i think about the poor downtrodden white men out there struggling to get by under the oppressive yolk of today's racist society.

If it weren't for the frequent musings of our subjugated white brothers on these very boards the world would be entirely ignorant of our plight.

I would have believed that my sarcasm was obvious. my apologies for drawing you in to a less than intelligent remark.

IBM Mainframeese.

the first compouter I worked on would just give you hexidecimal dumps and you had to check the bit values to figure out what was going on.

NO graphics, just a number cruncher.

I liked Impossible Mission best on my C64.

Or Zork/infocomm and maybe the adventure games such as Space Quest, etc.

I'm sure the younger members of the board, who grew up playing in their simulated 3D sex-quest wii trousers, and the like, will find it hard to believe so much joy could be had guiding badly disfigured blobs round garish, clunky mazes and platforms after waiting 3 full hours for your cassette to load.

Glory days indeed.

I loved Space Quest! After we changed computers long, long ago it was no longer compatible with our OS, and I missed Roger Willco. That was some clever, funny stuff.

Can you be more specific with your question, perhaps cite examples?

I saw the complete Space Quest set a while back at Software etc for $20 and it claimed it would run on XP and such.

Save the Galaxy from Salesmen!

If you're feeling nostalgic there are loads of C64 and ZX Spectrum emulators out there in internets land.
