More steaming piles of enlightenment from the Left.

Sounds pandering to me. This investigation stinks of media sensationalism & political correctness.

I disagree that it is pandering. The FBI investigation at this point is necessary. That said, there is in my opinion a lot of sensationalism and political correctness as well.

That's what you call it .. because you don't get to pick the winners.
No, you call it a murder investigation because you believe you have reasonable suspicion that Zimmerman's a racist. The Black Panthers and that idiot, Maxine Waters, agree with you.

The FBI is most likely just investigating the racial aspect of the case. I doubt they are involved in the murder investigation itself other than to ensure the local police are not racially motivated in one direction or the other. That said, I think you are over reacting to the involvement of the FBI.

Sorry Granube, the piles weren't steaming by the time you were finished playing with them. Now go wash your hands.

It's more than that, SF. Read the article.

I'll get you started:

“Two FBI agents showed up here with a picture of Zimmerman asked me if I recognized him,” said gun dealer Khaled Akkawi, who was listed as a witness in the case. “They were pretty much asking along the lines of if he had made racial comments or anything. My employees told me it couldn’t be further from the truth.

That's because I've cleaned up all your piles, mutant. Go take a shower and don't forget to scrub behind all three ears.

Incorrect. It is a murder investigation because the State Attorney's Office determined it to be. If the murder itself is determined by the investigation to be racially motivated, then so be it.

Don't be naive. Anyone who isn't trying to hide something knows this is a witch hunt.

Oh. I'm not denying there was a witch hunt, but it wasn't those supporting the murder of a black kid.

I live a few miles from Sanford. The witch hunt has been going on for decades in the hands of a crooked, racist sheriff and State Attorney, the same SA removed from this case.
In Sunday’s column, I mentioned that I was glad that Gov. Rick Scott had brought in an outside prosecutor to look at the case involving Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman.

My reason: I simply don’t trust Seminole-Brevard State AttorneyNorm Wolfinger … especially when it comes to admitting mistakes.

Long-time readers of my column may know my concerns about Wolfinger long before Trayvon Martin’s name ever hit the papers. It stems back to a string of wrongful convictions in Wolfinger’s district … convictions that were overturned despite Wolfinger’s best actions (and inaction) to make sure they were not.

For those who aren’t familiar with these stories, I’ve attached one of my past columns on the topic below. But the general gist is this:

Back in the 80s, law enforcement in Brevard County routinely brought in a charlatan “expert witness” to lie about evidence to help get convictions. (The fact that he was a charlatan is not debatable. It was later proven in court. And the ”expert,” dog-handler John Preston, was banned from testifying in the county.) Immediately, the state should have conducted an independent, external review of all the cases in which Preston helped get convictions.

But they didn’t.

Instead, State Attorney Norm Wolfinger claimed to do a “review” of all the cases himself … and declared all of the other convictions were just.

Except they weren’t.

Scientific evidence later exonerated two more men – Bill Dillon and Wilton Dedge. Both men spent more than two decades behind bars for crimes they didn’t commit.

Fact is, law enforcement in Seminole County, FL has been riddled with racism and racist cops for decades.

Any witch hunts were directed towards blacks in the county. Including attempts to besmirch the name of a kid.

I read the entire piece... the above quote shows what I stated, they seem to be investigating the racial component of the case to see if it is a federal hate crime.
