I don't even carry more than just a few bucks of cash ever. My Bank automatically provides an audit trail of my Debit Card spending and calculates how I spend every dollar every month and sorts it all out, calculates into categories that I use so I can personally monitor if I go over my budget on things like eating out, or gasoline, etc.
