Most Brilliant Moment of the SOTU Address

Jesus is LORD!
There were A LOT of brilliant moments during this "best ever" SOTU address that could be explored in detail re: their brilliance, but there's one specific moment that I wish to hone in on, and that is the moment that Trump forced Team Donkey between a rock and a hard place regarding "US citizens vs illegal aliens".

First, the moment itself:
President Trump: "If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens."
Team Donkey: ** continue sitting on their (jack)asses while Trump gives them an "I'm very disappointed in you" look**

However, they were screwed either way.
IF Team Donkey had kept sitting, which is what they ultimately chose to do, then a stark visual contrast would be displayed between who puts US citizens first ("Republicans") and who puts illegal aliens first ("Democrats"). This was a very rough visual for Team Donkey that will most definitely be turned into Midterm Election advertisements.

Yet, even IF Team Donkey had chosen to "be sensible" and stand up alongside Republicans in that moment, then President Trump would have still raked them over the coals. Under such an instance, President Trump would have "weaved" into noting that "even the crazy Democrats have to agree with that statement", following that comment up with a few mentions of ICE and all the good work that they have been doing in order to actively protect US citizens instead of illegal alien invaders. That would've put Team Donkey in a hard place regarding their own rhetoric about ICE and regarding how they'd then come across as "following Trump's lead" on that issue.

They couldn't dare grant any legitimacy to ICE, or grant the visual of "finally catching on to what Trump has been spearheading for many years now", so they couldn't dare be seen standing, but then they'd still have to endure the "made-for-TV-advertisement" optics of choosing to remain seated rather than standing up to protect US citizens from illegal alien invaders. President Trump knew that he was spearheading a 'win/win' moment, so he was ultimately going to rake them over the coals either way.

It sure sucks to be on Team Donkey.

I’m not crazy about Trump , mostly his personality, but that was brilliant.
He does know how to make them look bad.

It's a fallacy. It doesn't work.

That's what I've been saying. Trump knew how to play the room and did it masterfully. His often rambling was off-putting, but he played the Democrats like a fiddle.
