Mourdock Implodes

Mott the Hoople

Sweet Jane
In Indiana's senatorial debate Republican candidate Richard Mourdock stated that if a raped woman becomes pregnant it is God's will and she should not be permitted an abortion.

Well he's toast. Things are looking even better that Dems will retain control of the Senate now. Bet the party wishes they still had Luger.

LOL, the GOP is gaining with women, the War on Women is fake, etc, etc.

I'm sure Failias and Mourdock have bulging binders full of women.

is this guy a prophet? how does he know what is god's will concerning a woman who gets raped and pregnant as a result of that rape? show where in the bible god supports his statement.
It's the intellectual cop out of those who can't understand something and are threatened by it. God Wills it!

It is hard to understand the logic that drives these people. Is he really trying to say that God willed the rapist to do His work?

The dems will definitely hold the Senate (as I said I thought they would while you were still saying no way, sorry just a reminder!) but if Romney wins that won't matter. The fifth vote upholding Roe is a 80 yo women who "survived" pancreatic cancer in 2009. Check the five year survival rates on pancreatic cancer. This is what makes me laugh when that lying slime says he is "unaware of any existing abortion legislation" he would sign. First of all, you could drive a truck through that right? But worse, there doesn't have to be any legislation.

If Mitt wins lets not pretend the dems have the balls to fillibuster his supreme court nominees. He'll get the fifth vote to overturn appointed, there is zero doubt. Roe will be overturned contrary to all of the mansplaining we've heard all these years about how the R's will never actually overturn it they just use it for fundraising. They will overturn it.

It will only be thrown back to the states until the R's get enough votes to pass legislation outlawing abortion at which point abortion will be illegal across this land.

Paul Ryan drafted legislation bestowing 14 amendment rights upon zygotes. There were no exceptions for rape. Mitt said it was a "wonderful" bill that he'd be thrilled to sign.

If Mitt is elected Roe will be overturned within 4 years and then it is just a matter of game on in a brutal and bloody fight to see if they can force women to bear their rapists' children. But they will try.

They will try.

They will try.

They will never stop trying.

The SCOTUS may very well, one day, overturn Roe... Let's pray they do, because it appears to be the only hope of stopping you people from literally dragging babies out of the womb to kill them. What was passed years ago, in order to alleviate a problem which stemmed from the social stigma of out-of-wedlock pregnancy, has no place in a modern civilized society when less barbaric alternatives exist.

Sorry chickas, it's NOT your "right" to kill people.

So you agree with Mourdock that a girl or woman who is raped must bear her attacker's child?

Or are you an Akin advocate who agrees that if it's "legitimate rape" there would be no pregnancy.

Do you have binders full of women?

No he was saying it was gods will that she got pregnant from being raped. Which is still pretty fucking ignorant.

The debate over here is so different to the US, people went ballistic when the eminently reasonable attempt to change the termination limit from 24 to 20 weeks was contemplated. This in spite of the fact that 91% of all abortions in the UK occur before 12 weeks. If any mainstream politician tried to suggest that abortion be outlawed they wouldn't last more than 10 minutes before being hounded and vilified.
