umm we do not even have enough jobs for those not currently in prison.

I am all for decriminalizing most drug related charges, esp for pot. However you have a false rosy outlook there dude.

It would be like a war recession if 800,000 people were suddenly released who did not already have jobs.

While it is the right thing to do, IMO, it would not suddenly make everything better. For a stretch we would have the issue of finding jobs for 800,000 people while we are at the same time losing jobs at a huge clip.
 
Again plebes with the narrow minds.
800,000 productive citizens out spending and earning would indeed help right away.
