MSNBC: The Social Security Administration made $72 billion in improper payments over an eight-year period

Two points you conveniently neglected to mention.
Existing fraud detection systems in the government found these improper payments. We didn't need DOGE to detect it.
Also, Social Security to date has already recovered $49 billion of the $72 billion, so it's actually only $23 billion that is overpaid and unrecovered at this time.
Since Social Security's annual budget is $1.5 trillion, the improper payment is less than two percent of the budget.
It sounds like we don't need DOGE to detect these problems, and it sounds like MAGA morons are trying to manufacture a mountain out of a molehill.
