“KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Shots were fired at the end of the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl parade Wednesday, injuring eight to 10 people, a fire official said. Fans were urged to exit the area as quickly as possible”

Guess we can now add celebratory parades to churches, parks, schools, malls, spa, senior citizen centers, restaurants, concerts, synagogues, movies, grocery stores, shopping centers, trains, etc, opps, my bad, eight people were killed via guns at a parade a year and half ago

Where can a person go now days without having to think about some gun toting guy with a grudge unexpectedly start shooting

And the right’s solution, we need more guns and easier access to more guns

What we need is manned turrets on each float. Someone starts shooting, they can just fire right into the crowd. There may be some collateral damage, but that's the price you pay for living in such glorious freedom.

My niece was there with her hubby and other family members. They hid behind a porta potty!

I was watching the event live and the festivities were ending, people started running, the TV crew were trying to figure what was taking place. It was surreal

We are well and truly screwed. This is now perfectly normal in the United States. There is a solution.

Hope they rev up the "Thotz n Prayerz" machine so things will be better.

There's going to come a time in America when it is no longer "surreal". People will have to adapt. Because the solution can't be fathomed we must get used to being gunned down like cows on a slaughtering floor. Maybe in time we'll amass enough thoughts 'n' prayers that we will just accept our fate.

Shooting one another is what Americans do.
It's what we've always done.
It's what we'll always do for as long as this constitutional republic exists.

Kansas City is practically the dead center of America.
I would think it news
if nobody in Kansas City got shot for a few days running.

I'm not trying to make light of the people who suffered needlessly for this nonsense.
Their pain is real and unjustifiable.

I'm simply recognizing the nation that our founders chose to create.
This is the constitution and republic that our "true believers" worship.

YES! The answer is more guns and this would make parades a LOT more exciting. I think it'd be cool to see the Macy Parade with floats sporting gun turrets and cannon.

And then we can have one float that just blasts Thoughts and Prayers should any shooting happen!

See, Americans can solve ANY challenge!

Correct, this is when these tragedies have to be politicized, the days of the right’s deflecting “prayers and condolences” are long over, they happen too often to be ignored

Then teach your kids not to shoot people.

That's what my father taught me, and I've been around guns almost 60 years.

But they have never done as often as they are today, nor involving so many innocent people who’s mistake is just happen to be in the vicinity at the time
