“Multiple people hurt in shooting at Chiefs' victory parade”

The founders knew they could not predict the future and made the Constitution malleable. It could be changed to accommodate the reality they knew they could not predict. But the Repubs went for originalism. That means you interpret what they said through a right-wing filter and claim that is what the founders wanted and how we should stay. Originalism is stupid and obviously was not what the founders were trying to do. Scalia was way off base. But the Repubs live in the past. They want us to move back to a time that never existed.
The NRA used its power and we have had millions of Americans killed or wounded as a result. https://www.brennancenter.org/our-w...ANTHEON_STRIPPED&utm_source=PANTHEON_STRIPPED

Exactly, Originalism is a sham, it took the right a century to realize Strict Constructionism was antiquated, so they came up with Originalism to replace it, which is just as archaic

You have to laugh, the Founders were prolific authors, over the course of their lifetime they never stopped writing, often reversing positions they expressed at an earlier time, but the right will pull a quote or two from this lifetime of recording and present it as the Founders view on any specific topic.

Even funnier is their cherry-picking two centuries plus of history to rationalize some position, Thomas’s sophomoric Bruen opinion is laughable

what you leftist anti gun idiots can't seem to grasp is that all of those founders were for all of those rights, liberties, and freedoms........until they became elected officials. then, they didn't care for the restrictions placed on them, yet you morons latch on to that shit like algae in a pond.

over two dozen historical references confirm an individual right to arms that shall not be infringed, yet the best you can argue with is that they are cherry picked quotes.

you fuckers lose.

Opps, I forgot to add personal interpretations of the cherry picked history, now the Founders were for it before they were against it, and two dozen references from two hundred plus years of history is nothing

The problem with “not so smart” is that be swallows all the propaganda the gun manufacturers, aka, NRA, pedals, as long as it white washes and glosses over the right concepts and conforms to what he wants to believe is true he eagerly accepts it

ROFL, what bullshit. I love how you idiots, no matter how many FACTS are put in front of you, refuse to be swayed out of your idiotic delusions.

It is the absolute height of stupidity to believe that the founders would ratify a bill of rights for individuals, except for the 2nd Amendment that you believe applies to government rights only.

What are you TALKING ABOUT?

OK, so then what purpose do your arms serve?

A NRA cherry picked list of Founders quotes pulled from context don’t present facts, and the Second Amendment is part of the Bill of Rights plus it baffles anyone how you think others believe the Bill of Rights apples to the Government

so the only thing you did was a typical leftist assumption with no facts in evidence. got it.

You are the one who says all the time that you have your guns to protect you "from government overreach", but every single time anyone asks "what government overreach", you retreat to this garbage.

It's like you don't want to say something dishonest, so you don't say anything meaningful at all.

So all anyone else can do is guess at what you're trying to say because you're so fucking incoherent and inarticulate.

The guns clearly serve a different purpose for him than the one he's saying on JPP.
He and I both live in Texas. Lots of people here collect guns like others collect Beanie Babies.

The problem comes in when he advocates violence against a lawfully elected government with lawfully enacted laws simply because he doesn't like the results of our Republic.

The secrecy is always there when it is NOT "white supremacists" or anyone/anything else that fits the desired left narrative.
interesting because this mayor is standing up for these kids who got in an argument and shot innocent people and took the life of another himan being.... they have a video of what led up to the shootings... TMZ is sharing that...
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ka...stle-calling-super-bowl-parade-shooters-thugs these kids were thugs.. it doesn't matter what color they were... now they're not only thugs but murderers... and it will be interesting to see how this is handled....

He thinks the Government is some threatening autocratic entity that the average citizen has to be ready to go to war again, just think of all the militia organizations out training in the woods supposedly preparing for the day of reckoning, the next Waco any day now

He and I both live in Texas. Lots of people here collect guns like others collect Beanie Babies.

People were collecting Beanie Babies because they thought they might be worth something down the line; like baseball cards, or pogs, or any other kitschy consumer fad.

People collect guns for entirely different reasons than that.

I maintain that it's an addiction; ammosexuals are addicted to the chemicals their brains release when they hold and fire a gun.

your feelings are not facts. the words of the founding era are quite clear about an individual right that shall not be infringed.

as for your 'misinterpretation' of the 2nd Amendment, the anti gun crowd consistently tries to tell us that 'well regulated militia' means government controlled, but again, it is the absolute height of stupidity to believe that the founders would guarantee ONLY a government regulated unit to have arms after they had just won independence from their former government that tried to regulate their arms.

you will never stop making leftist and racist assumptions, will you? have you always been this comfortable with lying?
