Mussolini, Trump's doppelganger did not last too long. Trump not only looks like him but wants the same things. Glad Trump is too old to become the beyond the law king he wants to be. But he showed that America is vulnerable to a greedy wannabe despot. Perhaps we will re-establish the important safeguards that he took down and exposed to abuse. What if Trump were as smart as Nixon? He has fewer standards and values. Nixon did grudgingly halt his crime spree. Trump will take everyone he can down in the end while pardoning his whold mafia organization,including himself.

Fascism had been defeated in 1945. The major war in the '50's was the Korean War against communism. I seriously doubt your father was in the army at that time or you'd know that.
