Hurricane parties are fun...until the air conditioning turns off and the liquor and ice run out, then they suck.

It's not good to open a window to cool off when the rain is blowing sideways. At best, find the leeward side of a building, put on a bathing suit, grab a chaise lounge and relax until your fingers become all pruny.

I just can't imagine it. Here in Pittsburgh we freak out if the power dies for more than 10 minutes. Stay safe, I saw on the news that Laura and Marco are heading west rather than north.

West is good for us far enough north to only get rain.

I was hoping for rain. We're too far north for a hurricane to do any worse than Spring thunderstorms.

Weather reports suggested this could be felt as far north as St Louis.
