My LDS Mormon friends say this about Trump

Some of my Mormon friends have told me that Ether 8:25 (Book of Mormon) says secret combinations cause “the destruction of all people.” Not just wicked nations, all people who tolerate them. When good men stay silent, evil thrives in plain sight. The greatest danger isn’t what’s hidden, it’s what’s accepted.

They think Trump is the leader of a great secret combination to overthrow American freedom and religious liberty.

I hope they are wrong about Trump, but one has to wonder.

I know the answer to your question/s. Not based on nonsense but on well over 40 years of extensive reading. If you are serious and want a serious answer let me know. If not that's fine too.

Mormons are weird. Their religion is weird.

None of their scriptural predictions mean anything. No different than any other prediction based on religious scripture.

I make a point to not do any business whatsoever with them.

They also believe that there is a star Kolob that is the closest heavenly body to the throne of God.
And… polygamy is still practiced in the afterlife.

Yeah. One really has to wonder. :palm:

Just the fact you posted that OP makes me wonder if you’re part of that cult.
Nope. But I have lived among and known so many of them all of my life. They tried to convert me but failed. I like a lot of them. Some of them are as judgmental as evangelical and Pentecostals I have known.

I do think the 'secret combinations' issue has some validity. And maybe the far right, alt right, and maga Mormons are a secret combination unofficially.

I’ve only lived among them since 1992. That’s more than enough.
They tried to convert me but failed.
They still try with me. Two accosted me in downtown Anchorage while I was waiting outside a restaurant for an open table. They wouldn’t leave me alone until I finally came right out and to,d them to stop annoying me .

I like a lot of them.
Sure they come across as likeable - at first. Then I found out it’s fake. It’s a muse they use to get you to join their cult.

I make a point to not get to know them well enough to know.

Maybe the death star Kolob will be the downfall of maga.

Jake?

He's a mindless blowhard spewing mindless hatred.

Utah voted Trump +22. There is zero truth to what Douche Duck (because that's who Jake is) claimed in the OP. He's just flinging shit at his betters, like the feral baboon he is.

So far it appears they’ve read Trump correctly.
