My new explanation on why Trump supporters still stand by him...

Hello iolo,

If I didn't know better, I'd despair of the Working Class, but consider the HUGE brainwashing since McCarthy on. Over here it is easier to see: Bliar decided that they'd have to support him anyway, so concentrated on winning over borderline tories and their nasty newspapers, so that working people started supporting , of all things, this senseless Brexit crap. In America, deprived of decent education or freedom of opinion, they voted for the stupidest and most contemptible president ever. In both cases. alas, negative spite has replaced class interest. It won't last. The question is whether humanity will survive long enough to do better.

Being a typical American, I am not very well versed of UK politics. I recently heard that Russian meddling could very well be the reason Brexit passed. Is that a common theme?

Hillary's rallys numbered in the hundreds and President Trumps numbered in the thousands even in so called democratic states like ohio and pennsylvania. I was there and seen it, you few people just cant get over it but your not the msin stream no matter how much the fake news tells you that.

You “seen” it? :lolup::rofl2:

No wonder you support Orangetweet!

Dumpster is a weak man, and he pretends to be strong.

He acts like what a weak man thinks a strong man looks like.

They are both wrong, but it resonates with the weak and pitiful.

Hillary rallies in Ohio and Arizona were about 18,000. Typical right-wing beliefs. Wrong ,wrong, wrong No matter whhat Fox says, you should do a little homework.

Trump would send out free ticket to his rallies. Then hire a hall, that was a bit too small. Guaranteed a full house. It is an old political trick.

Hello iolo,

I don't think so: in a lot of the Brexit areas the peasantry are not hot on the internet or, indeed, literacy in general. Vast numbers were joining UKIP, thickoes to a man.

... and it goes like this.

Usually there is a mixed crowd. A few people who support Trump, more who detest Trump and some quiet folks where you don't know where they stand. I try to take the lead during a quiet time in the conversation. I then take a very smooth tone. Usually, I'm the most historically rooted person in the group.

So, I say, "Look, I can understand why people who voted for Trump continue to support him. I remember when I was just 8 years old and Jack Kennedy became the first Irish Catholic President. The pride of all the Irish Catholics was overwhelming. They never thought they would ever see the day that one of their own would occupy the highest position in America.

And I remember the November night in 2008, when Barak Obama became the first African-American President. The pride of every African-American in seeing one of their own become President. An accomplishment few even dreamed that they would ever see.

If you can understand how those people felt in the elections of one of their own, then you can understand that a racist-bigot would have the same feelings now that one of their own is President."

Your new explanation is as meaningless and invalid as your previous one.

Perhaps you should spend more time trying to better yourself than coming up with excuses as to why it's someone else's fault you're a failure.

Trump's rallies got far more air time due to his penchant ala despots everywhere of whipping the ppl into a frenzy with his race-baiting, uncouth bashing of other candidates and ppl, and simplistic bellows about complex issues. The other candidates had energy and excitement, but Trump had reality-show circus atmosphere and thus were far more interesting to the networks. BTW, we went to the Bernie rally in STL when he was in town. The arena has a capacity of slightly over 10K; it was packed, and ppl were standing in the aisles. It got about 30 seconds of coverage on that evening's late news broadcast (NBC affiliate).

Pesident Trump got more coverage because the media was covering up how few people went to see her, President Trump didnt rile anyone up he simply was saying the things that people have been knowing for a long time. As for Bernie, yes he had more people than hilliary but hes also a bad choice, socialism doesnt work, you cant tax the hell out of companies and expect them to stay in bussiness, when you do they raise there prices to maintain a profit just so they can stay in bussiness and when the working class gets over taxed they have less money to buy goods and services, i for one dont like being a slave to income taxes or having my home takin away because im being forced to pay property taxes, its all wrong and we need to be going in the other direction if we want to remain free people.

With your limited and mistaken understanding, I can see why you are Trumpette. So wrong ,so often.
