My plan for slavery restitution.

I totally support reparations for slavery if the person filing for restitution can prove the following.

1. They are citizens of the United States.
2. They have ancestors who were slaves in America.
3. They have been impacted either emotionally, physically or economically by the fact that they had ancestors who were American slaves.
4. And lastly the people paying the restitution had ancestors that were slave owners.

Proof meaning documented information supporting their claim.

You support punishing people alive today who played absolutely no role in American slavery? That's bullshit.

I don't support reparations for a kid hanging out at the Mall, wearing Air Jordans!

'Back to Africa'. Total Repatriation.

"Repatriation is the process of returning an asset, an item of symbolic value or a person – voluntarily or forcibly – to its owner or their place of origin or citizenship. Wikipedia"

A. $10,000. and a free one-way ticket to a selected site in Africa along with handing over your Passport.
B. Accept we all got here by Boat and we are better off for it, along with acknowledging that you are an 'American'. (rather than 'African-American')

So people who never owned slaves would have to pay people who were never slaves?

Only those that can prove they suffered harm do to slavery. And the only payers would be those that were proven to have ancestors that owned slaves. We did much the same thing with Japanese Americans for their internment in WWII.

The difference is that reparations were given to Japanese-Americans who were actually in the camps. We didn't give reparations to Japanese-Americans because the government wronged their ancestors.

Read the conditions other than the opening sentence. Can you think of one person who could qualify? Think about it sport.

400 years of slavery doesn’t get corrected in a few decades.

Blacks were shut out of the ballot box until the mid 60s. That effort is being tried again today.

The military was segregated until 1948.

The 1966 NCAA basketball champions were denied accommodations many times.

Texas football was still all-white in 1969.

Inter-racial marriages were banned up until the 60s. Alabama was the last to legalize it in 2000.

Actually very few of the slaves by the end of the Civil War had any direct ties to Africa. The last slave imported into the United States was in 1808. There were approximately 600,000 slaves imported into North America between 1620 and 1808. Over half were imported before there was a United States so a large percentage should look to England and the Middle East for reparations. Most slaves were imported into Central and South America and the Caribbean Islands in the same time period, over 5 million of them.
