squirrel, BIRD, etc. they can get their claws on. They are the Taliban of the animal kingdom!
The ones I shoot are strays I see often. I don't shoot them on first sight. And now I must be careful, there is a housing development up above me
now and the woods next to me has been timbered, so I have no place to toss them. Action has been slow the last 2 years, you should delight in that.

A decent person would live trap the strays and turn them in to the local shelter. That's why I am a decent person and you are not. When we lived in the country, our elderly neighbor was a cat hoarder. He didn't like them inside though. So he fed them outside. They farkled and bred and farkled and bred and soon there were dozens. His family did an intervention and trapped a couple dozen and took them to the shelter. I trapped 13 more. But still he fed them and still they mated and produced sickly, sometimes-blind, kittens. It only ended when he had a stroke and had to go live with relatives, and someone else moved in. The cats dispersed and/or died. The end.

A friend of my wife's used to adopt cats that couldn't otherwise get homes - cats with two or three legs, bald cats, things like that, sixteen of them. Fed 'em nothing but the best too. Meanwhile she'd given up work to help look after a mother who'd gone gaga, didn't know her, and showed every sign of not liking her much anyway. When the old girl finally popped her clogs, the daughter immediately got cancer and died, but saw to it the cats were looked after. RB should learn from the saintly, I reckon!
