My son is not very optimal — he is also very dead!

Dude asking the question used "optimal" in the question, using the same word back isn't something we should be attacking him about. Let's talk about security briefings and how he skipped so many, or why Ambassador Stevens only had a few bodyguards, or how there wasn't any protests there to "springboard" off of or "get out of hand"...

But getting on him for using the same word in his answer as in the question? Running on small things like Big Bird and Binders is for the guy ashamed of his record.

Let's be fair, he isn't ashamed of his record and you are parroting the Romney campaign by claiming so. He is proud of the things he as accomplished. He believes the action be took saved the country from becoming Greece. So, you are in error when you state he is ashamed of his record. Those are the words of Romney and not Obama.

urity.

"In normal times, the security is entrusted to the host nation but the consulate in Benghazi was temporary so the contract was awarded to a small company from Wales.

Larry Korb, a senior fellow at the Centre for American Progress and a former US Assistant Secretary of Defense, told BBC Radio Wales it was not unusual to hire private security companies.
"We do not in normal times have enough people on the government payroll and these are not normal times, particularly in Libya," he said.
"They put it up for contract, they go to the private sector and the feeling is once things go back to normal you will not need people from the private sector."
He added: "We have something like 275 consulates around the world and in normal times it's the responsibility of the host government to priovide that security

Sorry, but I have this little problem with the Orwellian nature of "Binders" being a bad word that everyone should note, and "not optimal" is no big deal and no one should pay attention to it. It doesn't matter that Jon Stewart used the word first, that is just the typical knee-jerk reaction of "BLAME SOMEONE BESIDES OBAMA" here! Does he EVER take responsibility for any damn thing he says? He didn't have to use the word again! He should have made a point to NOT use the word again! How fucking cold and callous is that, to consider the deaths of four Americans as "not optimal?" IF BUSH OR ROMNEY EVER UTTERED SUCH A THING, THEY WOULD BE FINISHED POLITICALLY!
