i'm not a woman so I am guesstimating, but I would venture to guess that Artists are by far the best (as a class)

There was once a study about how many "Ladies of the night" married cops ---- theory was that for cops, such persons were the easiest marks. This is also why their informants nine times out of ten are people that the cops have something on. and they have no choice but to conform.

While a T/Sgt, USAF, stationed at Warren AFB, cheyenne Wyoming, and off duty, I drove taxi, and Knew where all the cat Houses were.

One included a very pretty colored Girl about sixten who kept offering herself as payment for keeping their presence a secret. (I was also their "Fast food" Conection) I never took her up on it because I was married, But I sure was tempted. (My CARTER traits I guess- remember. his Sinning in his Heart statement???)

Without a doubt. Volunteer fire stations are full of guys who are alchies. Seriously. It's getting better, it used to be they wouldn't "trust" you if you didn't hang and get all drunk with them.

I am currently a firefighter with one of the few that I have seen that isn't this way.

That's why I always tell girls I don't like that I'm a conservative. It'll usually cause them to bug off. I mean, the liberal-conservative divide for women and men is like 45-55, so I have the best chances for telling them I'm conservative.

If somebody suggested that they wouldn't date you because of your job, even if they weren't speaking of you personally, can you imagine just a bit of defensiveness?

I could imagine it. Especially if I were single and had good memories of the men/women I worked with on that job.

If somebody suggested that you shouldn't date a military man and gave no mention as to why I would probably feel a bit defensive. But I'd get over it. BB is just reacting. He has backed up his ideology with service, and feels it should count positively rather than negatively.
