NAACP member racist comments

Their not blameless and it's clear that Obama and his Administration are spineless, but the fact of the matter is that this garbage started with Breibart and FOXNews.

you are a sniveling wuss nigel....as if ONLY they carried it, it was all over the news...yet you single out fox news

bigot

she acted on her racist thoughts, but we all know you never recognize racism unless a white person commits it

As Monty Python would say in movie credits...

Those who sacked the previous employees have been sacked...

Firing of USDA official Shirley Sherrod under review; case highlights bitter politics of race

A fuzzy video of a racially themed speech that prompted the ouster this week of an Agriculture Department official has opened a new front in the ongoing war between the left and right over which side is at fault for stoking persistent forces of racism in politics.

By early Wednesday, as the full context of the video became known, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said he would review his decision to ask USDA official Shirley Sherrod to step down.

Sherrod, a black woman appointed last July as the agency's Georgia state director of rural development, was forced out after a blogger circulated a video showing part of her March 27 appearance at an NAACP banquet. In her speech, Sherrod described an episode in which, while working at a nonprofit organization 24 years ago, she did not help a white farmer as much as she could have. Instead, she said, she sent him to one of "his own kind."

Well, the whole video, including all context has been posted. Unsurprisingly, Nigel was right. Obviously, this has been another hilarious case of Fox News and rightwing bloggers editing tapes, cropping them, taking them out of context, and cheering for innocent people to be fired from their jobs, whether merited or not.

The white farmer in question says Ms. Sherrod saved his farm, and offers supportive comments towards her. :

Roger Spooner, the farmer who turned to Ms. Sherrod for help, told CNN that she had helped him to save his farm, adding,“If it hadn’t been for her, we would’ve never known who to see or what to do.”

Fox News and rightwing tools apparently edited the clip, leaving out the context that the whole speech was an introspective look at what she perceived some of her flaws as a human being were a quarter century ago, and what she learned from it.

Shirley Sherrod: “….working with him made me see that it’s really about those who have versus those who don’t, you know, and they could be black, they could be white, they could be Hispanic. And it made me realize then that I needed to work to help poor people, those who don’t have access the way others have.

I recall it was topspin who said you can always tell which rightwingers are wearing klan gowns under their clothes, if they routinely whine and babble about “reverse racism” and the horrors and anti-white subjugation. Chalk it up as another journey through the black-hearted souls of wingnuttotopia. I wonder why do rightwingers routinely cheer for innocent people to be fired from their jobs, for unmerited reasons – whether its climate scientists or black Dept. of Agriculture civil servants?

PS: The Ag Department is considering hiring her back, after having been snookered by rightwing viral videos.

The USDA fires the racist, the NAACP claims she was a racist, two days later the USDA is looking into giving her job back and the NAACP now states they are too stupid and are blaming FOX News and Tea Party members.

Lets follow along with our two hateful bitches and see how big a pair of jackasses they can make of themselves before this is over, shall we?

She was a racist back then and a re-formulated racist now as she recounted her story with such glee and obvious delight to an audience this past March.

Typical liberal. Never knows when to STFU and STFD.

Did you hear her claim that White House demanded her resignation? This woman also exemplified a typical government employee...when asked about her resignation and if she felt it was neccesary she said "No, I worked hard for USDA; I even went to work when I didn't feel like it."

The bottom line is as I said at the beginning...what she did was to abuse her position of power to deny a person aid based on the color of his skin
...glad to hear she claims to be a reformed racist...that does not change what she did.

Exactly, but now she's whining.

She did use her position of power to deny help that she was in a position to provide because the man was white...It did happen a long time ago, she says she is no longer like that...though she did get a good laugh from her audience when she stated she had not helped a "white" person and another when she handed him over to one of his "own". This kind of belies the fact she is regretful for her racist actions (she did not shush her mostly black guffawing audience).

Maybe if enough of these black on white racist incidents are brought to light, the misuse of the race card will simmer down.

"when asked about her resignation and if she felt it was neccesary she said "No, I worked hard for USDA; I even went to work when I didn't feel like it."

The unfreakin' mitigated gall of this broad! Like she is ANY different than the millions of people who show up to work barring illness all the time. Then she acts like THAT should preclude her from being asked to resign? She's lucky she wasn't thrown out on her a$$.

Wonder if she can collect unemployment?

Well more news is coming out and it looks like this woman has been unfairly treated. She was actually telling the story and came to later realize her own prejudices were wrong. That it had to do with money, not skin color.

Of course they are blaming it on the Tea Party and Fox News.

Because the video taken out of context that was used to excoriate this woman originated on Breitbart's website and FAUX news ran with the story ALL AFTERNOON YESTERDAY, you incredible moron. THAT'S why people are blaming the TeaParty and FAUX.

Bottom line...the white couple she helped have testified that they wouldn't have been able to save their farm WITHOUT SHERROD'S HELP, and they consider her a FRIEND FOR LIFE.

Watching those two spiteful RightWing Harpies make their baseless allegations before the facts were in was disgusting...of course then the TRUTH came out and watching them backtrack and make excuses was truly a thing of beauty.

As with "Climate Gate", I don't suppose we'll ever see an apology from the rightwing contingent for cheerleading and engaging in the internet smearing, slandering, and the attempts to destroy the reputation and jobs of completely innocent and reputable scientists and civil servants.

How come only Liberals can be former racists? No way in hell any Conservative that was racist 25 years ago but claim not to be now would be givin a pass by the same people who think this lady needs one.
