Nah nah nah nah....hey hey hey......goooooood byyyyyyyeeeee

YOu gave us nothing that would apply to the gov't not recognizing gay marriages, just rationale for the christian churches not to do so.
The question was how gay marriage destroys the sanctity of marriage, not how it applies to government; that's just some liberal bullshit you threw in to cloud the issue.

Talk about bullshit to cloud an issue, claiming that someone else's marriage will destroy the sanctity of yours is the all-time biggest load of bullshit yet.

Gay marriage does nothing to destroy the sanctity of marriage. Nothing. A gay couple getting married does not affect a straight couples marriage. Period.

A high rate of divorce... THAT destroys the sanctity of marriage.

Why does marriage have to be any of these things? And does anyone know anyone whose marriage fits the above descriptions? I never have. Don't really want to.

Even that doesn't destroy the sanctity of my marriage. Among my wife and I, only our divorce, our infidelity, our actions could ever destroy the sanctity of our marriage. Your marriage will ever only have the sanctity you bring to it... nobody can add or subtract from the fidelity and honor you bring to your own marriage except those participating in the marriage (not the wedding, the marriage).

It is, among certain believers, "Holy Matrimony"... For them it is a religious institution, sanctified by God. I just don't know why they insist that yours must also be "sanctified"...

:dunno:

I'll never understand why the religious don't focus on treating their own marriage as it should be treated rather than on how others may treat theirs...
