The FBI could prosecute you on that. But it's very difficult to prove. There is no law more widely ignored than that on copyrights, because to enforce copyright laws to the letter would put 90% of the US population in prison. Just think about it - have you ever posted an article from another site, US? You've violated copyright laws. 5 years in prison and 200,000 dollar fine, per an article. Has a community organization ever held a "movie night" in your area to fundraise for the boyscouts or something like that? Same thing. The FBI doesn't even try to go after meager shit like that.
If you copied the DVD's and sold them on the street, then you'd probably face crackdown after sometime if you were blatant enough. It wouldn't be likely though.
Just think about the copyright system, US. "We're the government, and we're going to track down and kill anyone who copies this stuff, to try and make it more scarce so that you can profit off of it." That's very ridiculous to enforce. It's the most ridiculous compensation system ever devised.
