Name your 5 favorite movies

my roomate had a whole box set of kurosawa stuff, never got around to seven samurai because i never had the time to sit down to watch it :)

Hitchcock was such a great movie maker .... watched "North by Northwest" last night ... and the movie also reminded me why Cary Grant was such a great actor and Eva Marie Saint was one hot actress!

1. Rocky
2. It's a Wonderful Life
3. Jurassic Park
4. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
5. Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Honorary mention to the video where Al Gore walks into a display of the founders of America and asks "Who are these guys?". Lucky for him he's a Democrat and the Liberal media would never mention it, let alone crucify him like they did to Quayle over misspelling potato.

I could go with Rocky, It;s a wonderful life, and one flew over the cuckoo's nest,

but i think my 5 would be JAWS, and poseidon adventure. sense and sensibility, original planet of the apes, and ben hur...

I'm forgetting a slew of movies, of course, but here are some nobody's mentioned (except for one):

Winged Migration (on DVD, watch the making of the film; it's phenomenal!)
Airplane!
The Wall
The Vanishing (the original, in French with English subtitles, not the remake)
La Femme Nikita (again, the original in French; the remake was silly)

The Warriors
Shawshank Redemption
Prince of Tides
Sixth Sense
Me & Thorn making it
L.A. Confidential
