Napalm

it must be a bummer.

but it takes mature reasoned individuals to argue from logic and not heartstrings. people like you sadly can't be trusted.

Please don't kid yourself.

You & yours make as many emotion-based "they're gonna take our guns!" arguments as those on the heartstring side.

it's been 3 months since sandy hook. we are still 300 million guns strong. How about dem apples mott? :) Political capital shrinking faster and faster every day on this issue. Sandy hook? wasn't that the hurricane?

Media mostly talking about sequester, debt ceiling, fiscal cliff, revenue increases, and drones on americans. Dead kids is old news. Gun filled america marches on.
What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? We're talking about the power images have to change behavior. No one is talking about legislating the NRA away.....they're talking about changing attitudes so that no decent human being would even want to be associated with extremist nuts, like the NRA and you know what.....it will probably work and that's what scares the shit out of the NRA fanatics.

you can't just call something extremist because you disagree with it, tool. they are a very powerful and influencial organization in large part because of so many americans that stand up for our constitution.

I didn't say all or nothing, I pointed out that it was a slippery slope where you and your ilk would assure us you just want 'assault rifles' and clips over ten rounds banned. Then when you find out that does nothing, you will then come and tell us you only want clips over 6 rounds or whatever... it won't stop.

You are taking out your emotional response on an inanimate object. You ignore the fact that the object can easily be replaced by another equally destructive object.

Do you know how long it takes to change a clip?

Slippery slope arguments are fallacious.

What's really sick about what has happened to the NRA is that they were once a great organization. I was once a member of the NRA. I took my required fire arm safety course from a local NRA affiliate when I got my hunting license at 15. I joined the NRA when I joined a local gun n rod club when I was 18. Helped out on a number of conservation projects and built networks with other outdoor sporstmen through the NRA. Things started to change in the late 70's when a very well organized group of right wing extremist took over the board of directors of the NRA in only what could be described as a hostile take over. Prior to that the NRA was very much a hunters advocacy and conservation group like Ducks Unlimited. Now they are the zero tolerence 2nd ammendment fanatics and right wing shills for the Republcian party. Many of us who quit the NRA in disgust (Including President George H. W. Bush) over their extremism have joined organizations, like Ducks Unlimited, that are what the NRA used to be like before they decided to become a bunch of out of touch wacko fanatics.

My father was an NRA member for years until the organization lost its mind. He said the same thing you say.

to all pro gun patriots, just remember you are wasting your time with these fascists. you can point out till you are blue in the face that higher gun control areas have higher crime, how gun legislation wouldn't prevent another masacre, how it's unconstitutional, how what they think of as dangerous guns (like the ar-15) are actually one of the safest guns to have, it really doesn't matter. This is the one issue that liberals certifiably don't give a shit about what kind of argument you can make. They want your guns, fuck you. It's a completely irrational, emotional appeal they make, they wont be swayed by any type of logic. Save your sanity.

If you wanna do some hit and run posts just to poke them in the eyeballs, ok... just don't get caught up in their self created hell of insufferable nonsense.

"Pro gun patriots", you crack me up. :rofl2:

You did incidate all or nothing. You said "stop". You have a stop or go / all or nothing mentality on this.
You should take writing lessons from Darla to help you more accurately express yourself.

But on second thought you do pretty accurately express your self ;)

No proof that gun control reduces deaths?
Ok give a room full of 6 yr olds loaded guns.
....

Or give a room full of falling down drunks loaded guns.....

Or give everyone in a mental instution loaded guns....

He couldn't afford me USC. I'd have to charge him at least triple because I'd have to be in the same room and I have a feeling he is one of those who douses himself in some frou-frou cologne the guy at the Bloomingdales men's counter guaranteed him was a "panty-dropper".

I will bet that if he was old enough at the time he loved to wear leisure suits :)
Leisure Suit Larry!

I don't agree, the people who were responders to Sandy Hookwere absolutely sickened by it in a way they were not in other violent crime cases.

A murder dectective told me one time that when a crime scene involves children it affects even the most hardened.

Well I was speaking of violence in general, specifics types/victims changes things up.

The NRA is out of touch. They are extremist and they do a diservice to our 2nd ammendment rights by their extremism. They consistantly keep making this false equivalency that common sense laws that protect people are the equivalent of Jack booted Nazi's kicking in your doors and demanding you turn over your guns. It's a crock of bullshit. There is a lot that can be done to limit violence with guns that are not a threat to your second ammendment rights and that's the great lie of the out of touch NRA wackos.

the NRA is extremist?? you do know that their nickname is Negotiate Rights Away, don't you? if the NRA is extremist, pray tell what am I?

That's why membership grew by 100,000 right?

So you think that maybe if the "liberal" media had shown lots of scenes of children killed by us bombs and such during the Iraq war it might have changesd America's attitude about the war?
