The funny thing is, all those people saying it doesn't matter get all over Rudy for the same thing and say it is because of how he treated an ex he was separated and estranged from at the time.

This is a generality about affairs, not about this supposed story.

If Edwards tried to hide something like this it would effect his ability to do the job for the reason that I specified above. That doesn't mean I believe that Edwards did this or any of that.

No what bothers me is NOT that Rudy had an affair or that he used his security to protect his mistress. What bothers me is SOOO many republicans that were just jaw droppingly shocked that Bill had affairs and so outraged by it will still go out there and vote for Rudy if he is the nominee because integrity stops where the political rubber hits the road, and better OUR philandering politician that yours.

LOL. And those who think he treated his wife shabbily and therefore say that they wouldn't vote for Rudy will go on out and vote for others who treat their wives shabbily...

I agree. We are going to elect a president, NOT a saint. The fact that someone might have an affair does not mean that they lead their WHOLE life in a dubious manner. People act differently in different areas of their life. It is like this book company not releasing the book by Jaime Lynn Spears' mother because her daughter got pregnant. LOTS of good people have kids that make mistakes. LOTS of good people have affairs. This is not a case of one bad apple or anything like that. People all have flaws but can still be good leaders.
