Had plenty of girlfriends in my life.

Agreed. Gardner needs a mirror.

You have a background in psychology. You probably know the details of this experiment with monkeys done long ago (unless it turns out that it's myth). Researchers had a group of primates in a cage, with a way to get out that involved climbing and figuring some sort of thing out, I guess to show intelligence. But when one monkey would climb up and figure out how to escape, the rest would drag him back in with them, according to this story.

The (R)s of the Lincoln Project are that clever monkey who's climbing to freedom. Gardner et al are the rest of them.

LOL. I know of a similar experiment with rats and mice, especially Calhoun's experiments with overcrowding and multilevel enclosures. One rat experiment was a two-story habitat with a ramp access between the floors but only allowed one rat at a time up or down the ramp. There was sufficient space, food and water in the habitat for all the rats. The result was the larger rats took over the top floor and would attack any rat coming up the ramp. This gave them an abundance of living space and food but created an overcrowding situation on the bottom floor. What did the bottom rats do? They fought among themselves rather than attack the top floor.

These are examples of the types of experiments. The PDF lists some of Calhoun's experiments.

Agreed that some members of the RW here are fighting with members in a similar income level while leaving the fat rats alone.

That's an absolutely perfect analogy of today's Reichwingers! Thanks.

It isn't the "RW" (Right-Wing) that's rioting in the streets and burning down Democrat stronghold cities ATM...
