Bush had 8 years to stop Al Qaeda and did not. More importantly, Bush had Al Qaeda cornered, and let them go.
Not quite sure there is any way to really stop Al Qaeda now. Maybe there never was, but after Bush let them go at the Battle of Tora Bora, there definitely was no obvious way to stop Al Qaeda.
Now is the time when you claim it was all the Republican's fault, even though they didn't take the House for the first time since 1928 until January 1997.
Not really sure I would blame the Speaker of the House for terrorism, but you are wrong on your dates. The Republicans had control of the House in 1955, well after 1928. Does that mean they are to blame for Elvis being drafted?
