"If he would have stayed in"...what wonderful words to be associated with Ted Cruz.Cruz would have won Nebraska if he would have stayed in but I think the loss is mainly just people feeling like it would have been a lost cause to go vote last night since he dropped out. Trump won 60% but there weren't that many votes cast and you think he would have won by more considering he's the only candidate left. I agree though that I wish people would have still gone out and voted out of principle for Cruz and not stay home or support Trump out of pressure. Nothing we can do now.
I don't know about that. Data also clearly show that Ted would have been crushed in a near Mondale type landslide. Ted might "might" have marginally less unfavorability ratings but I can think of no one as intensely disliked as Ted Cruz.we are a constitutional republic with elected representatives but thats for another day. Trump and Clinton have the highest unfavorable ratings of all candidates including Cruz.
No. They just think their wasting their time voting for a Pooka Candidate.I have a mail-in ballot checked for Cruz, waiting to be delivered. I'm not really sure how difficult it is for people. Do they think the primary can't get closure if they vote for a different candidate?
Ahhh don't mind Desh Nora. They hanged her mom last week and she's still coping an attitude about it.If you are going to accuse me of lying for no reason at all then the conversation will unfortunately end. If you truly are sincere regarding the values of a democracy then you'd respect opposing points of view. The founding fathers made the arguments about our republic and what it stands for in documents that we can all still read today.
Party pooper!Daesh, you shall never terrorize another thread of mine again.
I'm confused that a grown adult can't spell her candidate's name correctly.
Head....meet brick wall.We are a constitutional republic with aspects of democracy. There are different types of democracies but the type you seem to want or think we are is a direct democracy based on what I've read of yours which we certainly are not. We do not decide policy or law, we elect representatives to do that which makes us a republic and not a real democracy, among other reasons. That's not a lie and it's not some sort of vindictive threat to our nation. Our own founders called us a republic for example. If you're using the broad term of democracy to describe the country then that's fine but the way our country functions is the a republican style (not the party) of government. The debate is pretty meaningless though in my opinion unless you are wanting to change the way our systems works to make it into something like a direct democracy. Is that what you want?
Oh Desh. No one ever killed a political party by cheating. Hell that's what political parties do! Political parties die because they are made up of coalitions of often disparate groups people with shared interest. When a party stops representing the agendas of these coalitions and enough coalitions break apart then a political party dies. Politics is not a board game Desh.cheating in elections killed the current incarnation of the republican party

Desh for crying out loud. Nora is right. We are a constitutional federal republic. Such a republic has a specific advantages over a direct democracy in that within a constitutional republic PEOPLE HAVE RIGHTS! Which is not the case in direct democracy where not only do the people make the laws, it is the rule of the majority and the minority has no rights.because we are a democracy no matter how much they hate democracy
Well I don't know what dictionary you're using but Nora puller her definition straight out of one.and every dictionary and encyclopedia agrees with me you fucking idiot
Yea...a type called "indirect democracy" just like Nora said!!!which is a type of democracy
why are you lying for them
