ov 20 2024 President-elect Donald Trump’s “border czar” nominee Tom Homan dropped the hammer on Democrats who are planning to derail the new administration’s mass deportation plan, warning they could face jail time and even the death penalty if they do so.

The former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director issued a stark warning to left-wing mayors of “sanctuary cities” who plan to resist Trump’s deportation operations. “I would suggest she read Title 8, United States Code 1324 (iii) that says you can’t harbor or conceal an illegal alien from federal law enforcement.”
According to Title 8, United States Code 1324 (iii):

“makes it an offense for any person who — knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law — conceals harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation.”
The penalty for violating Title 8, United States Code 1324 is five to 10 years in jail.

What’s worse for Democrats is the death penalty could also be imposed if an illegal alien kills an innocent person due to left-wing mayor or governors allowing it.

“Moreover, if the violation results in the death of any person, the defendant may be punished by death or by imprisonment for any term of years,” the statute states.

Listen, I'm not trying to be a hater...but I'm agreeing with Trump on this deportation agenda. Biden foolishly swung open our borders his first minutes in office and its been hell for so many in this country. Try going to the clinic or standing in line for RX or being on the damn phone with these people. This is America and yet Spanish is all the fuck you hear and see. They're not running from oppressive regimes, they're running from poverty and I for one am sick and tired of supporting people that give nothing and take everything. And not just the Latino's, the Muslims, the Chinese, the Haitians, everybody come here to take take take and then take some more....jobs, education, healthcare, housing, and even our language.

Amen to that. Democrats want to let in 100 million welfare trash scum because they will vote for the welfare party. Illegals are destroying america. They all need to go.
 
All Trump has to do is declare that any "sanctuary" city, state, government, whatever, is immediately barred from receiving any federal funds until they eliminate that and work with the federal government to remove criminal aliens and others within their jurisdiction that are illegally in the US.

Watch how damn fast all that sanctuary talk disappears and local governments are bending over backwards to assist in deporting illegals. Sure, there might be a few holdouts here and there that quickly find their constituency pissed off at the crippled government running things because of their stance on illegal immigration.

Stupid idea, but even if he did, I mean, nuking hurricanes is also stupid, it would be tied up in the Courts for years

Actually, there is virtually nothing a sanctuary location could do about it. Sure, they could sue, but until the courts can both rule on providing funds, and make that ruling stick, they get no funds.

Imagine some sanctuary city looking at say 20% of their annual budget just disappearing because it's federal dollars... For most locations that is damn near crippling. Getting a stay could take weeks in court at a minimum. Then if they lose, they're out the cost of the lawsuit on top of not getting funds. Even if they win, they are going to be out a big chunk of money.

It would be hilarious to see city officials trying to justify being a sanctuary city. The law is 100% against them. So is common sense and ethics. You can't let the whole world dump their welfare trash on american taxpayers.

It's just incredible that for eight years there have been millions of people who thought that it would somehow not be a crime to knowingly assist fugitives.

The courts can move quickly when they want to, but the executive branch can just pull the same trick those same sanctuary cities have been for decades on the sanctuary and gun laws. Just draft and issue an order with identical implications and meaningless changes to the text. Claim it's a whole new order or a whole new law that needs to be litigated separately and pump that one through the courts.

Stays come slower than orders can be drafted.

I mean they're going to try to do this anyway to stop the deportation so it would be more like their rapid fire bullshit against Trump's rapid fire bullshit. The lower courts will see the writing on the wall, the supreme court will rule, and that will be the end of it because if you're confident the supreme court ruling is on your side you can just ignore stays by lower courts.

No employee of the government has ever faced personal consequences for following orders regardless of a lower court ruling. Agents of the FBI have illegally spied on presidential canidates, been convicted of it, and had nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

As long as Trump dismantles the biased machinery at the DOJ there is nothing to be worried about.
